Barcelona v Malaga – The FC Barcelona lineup make it two wins out of two

By marshie IN Archive,General - 20:46 Aug 27th 2015

FC Barcelona will be looking for another La Liga win this weekend as they host Malaga on Saturday evening. The Catalans did the treble for the second time last season and will be looking for a similar amount of success in the 2015/16 campaign and kicked it off in great fashion with a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.

Luis Enrique will be without stalwart defender Gerard Pique after his sending off in the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana and is suspended for four games.

Dani Alves is out injured for the next month while Neymar should be back in the side after recovering from mumps that kept him out last weekend.

Aside from this, we expect the Catalans to put out a strong XI, including the deadly strikeforce of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Of course, the Argentian lead his teammates in the scoring stakes, netting an incredible 43 goals in La Liga and appeared in all 38 games with a 99% appearance rate.

But his teammates weren’t slacking, with Suarez scoring 16 times and Neymar netting on 22 occasions with the former notching up five assists in the last four league games in which he appeared.

Indeed, it was Suarez who gave his side the win last weekend with his goal against Bilbao being the winner, and is a fantastic bet to do so again this weekend.

Messi once again stole the show in terms of assists last season, doing so 18 times although Suarez wasn’t far behind him with 14 for the league campaign.

WHAT’S NEXT?

As you would expect with their dominance at the Nou Camp, a Barcelona win is leading our predictions for this game, currently standing at an 80% possibility.

A draw is at 13% while a shock away win stands at just 7%, with a victory for the Catalans looking like the best option for your accumulator on Saturday.
