How are the next 3 PL fixtures looking for Manchester City?

By Mark Peters IN Archive,General - 19:55 Sep 7th 2015

Manchester City have been playing the sort of football that dreams are made of and the addition of Kevin De Bruyne will only make them stronger.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men will be looking to continue their perfect start to the Premier League season during September, but what does history tell us about their upcoming matches?

CRYSTAL PALACE (A)

Crystal Palace are actually the closest challengers to Manchester City in the top-flight table and the Eagles’ victory at Chelsea shows that they should not be underestimated. On a positive note, the Citizens have won on two of their last three Premier League visits to Selhurst Park.

WEST HAM UNITED (H)

This is as close to a guarantee of three points as Manchester City can get according to the history books, with the Etihad Stadium outfit winning 11 of their most recent 13 top-flight home matches against West Ham. Slaven Bilic’s charges have already secured surprise successes at Arsenal and Liverpool, however, so they will pose a threat.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (A)

White Hart Lane has proven to be a very happy hunting ground for the Citizens in recent seasons, with three wins secured in their previous four Premier League visits. Not only that, but two of these victories have been achieved by a 5-1 scoreline.

THOUGHTS

It is hard to imagine any team denying Manchester City maximum points at the moment, but high-flying Crystal Palace perhaps have the best chance of doing so in their next three fixtures. West Ham and Tottenham have posed few problems for the Citizens recently, so they should be brushed aside.
