Manchester United line up shock Rooney replacement

By Mark Peters IN Archive,General - 20:00 Dec 27th 2015

Manchester United have not exactly been scoring goals for fun this season, netting just 22 times in their 18 Premier League matches.

Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest that the club will look to address this shortage of goals by making a £10m move for Mainz’s Yoshinori Muto in January.

YOSHINORI MUTO VS WAYNE ROONEY

The Japanese international only joined his current employers last summer, having been heavily-linked with a switch to Chelsea.

Since then, the 23-year-old has gone on to score seven times in the Bundesliga, finding the net three times with his left foot, three times with his right foot and once with his head:

Wayne Rooney, by way of contrast, has only scored twice in the Premier League this season, taking a staggering 593 minutes between goals.

Quick, clinical in his finishing and surprisingly strong, Muto has all of the attributes needed to succeed in English football:

I still don`t understand why Rooney is the blame for Manchester united downfall all this while .. under SAF rooney was dropped in order to accommodate Kagawa.. no one ever challenge SAF and goes scot free but the team was so bad that rooney has to come back and rescue ManUtd.. even SAF won`t drop him but taint his name..remember SAF is also human ,, under moyes a whole lot of talk at d beginning of the season and he was kept out not till he came back and push moyes to stay more than 7 months before being sacked.. Rooney was the one keeping moyes in his job.. and now LVG.. samething… i believe some people just cnt believe he will continue to play cause they want him gone.. he has been a great player amongst average player.. mention ONE world class player we have.. Rooney will score lots of goals in PSG, REAL MADRID, BARCELONA, BAYERN MUNICH while on the bench… lets keep this lil by lil…… 1. PSG ibra has got Di-Maria , Lucas, Matuidi, Verrati , Ezekiel …now who can be compared to those players in Manchester United ? 2. Real Madrid – Ronaldo has got Bale, Kroos, James, Marcelo , Benzema … now tell me why he won`t score a whole lot.. 3. BAYERN– Lewandowski has got Coleman, D cousta, Robben, ribery to come in the mix, muller, martinez .. now compare any of this players to the Memphis, carrick, mata , fellani, perera we have and u blaming one player? this isn`t the first time he has been single out but everytime he has been there and scoring and giving his 100% ..#RESPECTYOURCAPTAIN He`s worth any team and he isn`t slow, he has to come back all d time cause Mata runz around doing nothing.. fellani can`t hold anything .. u call rooney slow.. how about carrick? memphis.. need i say anything?…team make u improve ..thats players around you and a good example is suarez in barcelona now.. doesn`t score 40 goals but he`s a better player now..
