Leeds United plot move for lightning-fast Premier League winger

By Mark Peters IN Archive,General - 20:00 Feb 28th 2016

Leeds United currently find themselves closer to the relegation zone than they do to the playoff places, though there is little danger of them actually going down.

It is clear that several new faces will be required next season, however, starting with players who can inject some much-needed pace and flair into the side.

IKECHI ANYA

Ikechi Anya could certainly do that and the fact that the Scotland international has fallen out of favour at Watford in recent times only serves to increase the likelihood of a summer switch.

The 28-year-old has been at Vicarage Road, on loan initially, since the summer of 2012, enjoying his best campaign to date back in 2013/14:

During that season, the versatile wide player weighed in with five goals and eight assists in the league, helping his side to double their goal average in the matches in which he featured.

In total, Anya has clocked up close to 100 appearances at Championship level, whilst he also has valuable experience of winning promotion to the Premier League with the Hornets:

At what point is there any relevance that Leeds are after this player???

Why is it that whenever there is any mention of a Leeds being interested in a player there is always the phrase ‘out of favour’ or ‘surplus to requirements’?

Like hell we gonna be able to sign him! Why would anyone one in there right mind wanna join such a lazy untalented side like ours, just watching 1st half of Brighton game and what a surprise Wooten picked again! Think he must be having a relationship with Evans to keep getting picked, sack the lot and blood the kids!
