Koeman’s first signing for Everton will be…

By Mark Peters IN General,Transfers - 20:10 Jun 6th 2016

Attracting Ronald Koeman from Southampton would represent a major coup for Everton, enhancing their prospects of challenging for major honours in future years.

Should the Dutch manager take charge at Goodison Park, then who is likely to be his first signing for the Toffees?

SCOTT DANN

If reports in the Croydon Advertiser are to be believed, then the answer to that question is Scott Dann, with the centre-back set to cost in the region of £15m.

Considered unlucky by some not to have secured an England call-up in recent times, the 29-year-old enjoyed another fine campaign for Crystal Palace last season:

The Eagles may only have kept eight top-flight clean sheets when the defender was involved, but teams took 18 minutes longer on average to score against them than they did against an Everton side featuring John Stones.

Strong in the air and excellent at organising those around him, the commanding centre-back also boasts experience from 160 career games in the Premier League:
