West Ham Renew Pursuit of Columbian Hotshot

By Joel Turner IN General,Premier League,Transfers - 12:32 Dec 26th 2016

A mixture of bad luck and a difficulty in securing key targets during the summer has left West Ham struggling for firepower in their front-line this season.

AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca was a key target and while a £26 million deal was reportedly agreed in the summer it ultimately fell through after the player himself rejected the move.

Now with Bacca getting few chances the move could be back on, with reports in The Mirror  again linking him with a transfer to the London Stadium

With Diafra Sakho now out for up to ten weeks for back surgery, and Andy Carroll’s precarious fitness a constant cause for concern, there is no doubt the Hammers are in need of reinforcements up front.

Possible loan moves for Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi have also been touted, but Bacca’s arrival next month seems far more likely.

CARLOS BACCA

After impressive form last season, Bacca has been in and out of the team this time around – but yet still recorded 11 goals to date in Serie A.

Last season, Bacca made 38 top-flight appearances for Milan and scored 18 goals.
