Tottenham Hotspur submit bid for incredible prospect

By Mark Peters IN General,Transfers - 19:55 Jan 30th 2017

Tottenham are in fantastic form at the moment, winning eight and drawing one of their last nine matches in all competitions, though they left it late to beat Wycombe in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Perhaps the underwhelming performance put in by Mauricio Pochettino’s much-changed side highlighted the need for greater depth at White Hart Lane, thus necessitating a late dip into the transfer market.

WILFRIED ZAHA

According to reports in the Daily Star, the North London outfit have submitted a £23.9m bid for Wilfried Zaha, though relegation-threatened Crystal Palace are desperate to hang on to one of their star turns.

The 24-year-old has always possessed enormous potential, even turning out for Manchester United earlier in his career, but it is this season that he has really taken his game to the next level:

In 19 Premier League appearances for the Eagles in 2016/17, the tricky winger has played a direct role in ten goals, scoring four and assisting six.

This represents a major improvement on the two goals and one assist that he managed during the previous top-flight campaign, highlighting his growing maturity out on the pitch.

Recently involved at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast, Zaha would provide Spurs with the sort of pace and unpredictability that they currently lack going forward.

Noooo. He is a lazy git who actively participates in one of every three matches he plays in. There is no way he has the mentality to play our high press or to work back. He has never been a team player and I am shocked Poch is targeting him. Very surprised!! However, COYS
