It seems bizarre that Leicester, last season’s champions, and Liverpool, heavily tipped to challenge for the big prize this season, have just 1 win between them in their last 6 respective Premier League outings, but that’s the situation as the Reds travel to the King Power Stadium this evening.
Jürgen Klopp will be keen to see his side build on their impressive 2-0 victory over Spurs last time out, and the calm of a 16 day break since that match will certainly help their cause.
And while Liverpool’s squad rested and prepared, Leicester have endured one of the most chaotic periods in their club’s recent history. Claudio Ranieri is gone, as is much of the goodwill the Foxes have enjoyed since their unlikely title triumph, and it’s now up to their players to win over their doubters.
With so much at stake, Klopp’s team selection is all-important, but who will he go with?

|TOTAL PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE|
We’re expecting just two changes from the side that beat Spurs, with Ragnar Klavan looking like a much stronger match for Jamie Vardy’s pace than Lucas Leiva, and Jordan Henderson set to miss out through injury.
It’s a Liverpool team that is brimming with attacking threat. The midfield 3 of Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum have been directly involved in (scored or assisted) an impressive 27 goals this season, making them one of the Premier League’s most potent central forces, and Klopp is once again able to pick his first choice front 3.
The Reds have averaged 2.3 goals per game in the 12 matches Sadio Mané, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have started together this season, and they will be confident of improving on that already outstanding record against what has been a leaky Leicester defense of late.
With an almost clean bill of health, this is an extremely strong Liverpool side. It’s tough to look past them here, as the gloom continues to decent on Leicester’s season.
