Man City are lining up a stunning move to replace veteran midfielder David Silva this summer.
Real Madrid midfielder Isco is the man in question, with a £30 million transfer to the Etihad firmly on the cards as Pep Guardiola looks to inject fresh blood into his ageing squad.
The Spanish international, 24, has just one year left on his deal and looks set to leave the Bernabeu this Summer as he has failed to make a permanent breakthrough into the first team.
He reportedly came close to signing for City in 2013, but instead opted to join real following an intervention by Zinedine Zidane.

An obvious long-term replacement for David Silva, his dribbling skill and passing make a comparison easy to make. But Isco is actually far more versatile, something that may well have worked against him during his time in Madrid - with others more suited to specialist roles in the side.
Isco has started for Real Madrid 12 times in La Liga this year, making a further 8 appearances from the bench and playing a total of 1110 minutes.
With ten fewer starts in the league this season, Isco has scored three times the number of goals that Silva has managed and contributed the same number of assists.
Real Madrid have won 80% of games he has played, as compared to 40% when he hasn't made an appearance. Scoring nearly six times as many goals in the process.
