Atletico Madrid have a mountain to climb as they look to overcome a three-goal deficit when facing Real Madrid at the Vicente Calderón Stadium this evening.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick in the first leg of their Semi-final showdown all but secured Real a place in the final, but Atletico are not a team to admit defeat and bounced back with a 1-0 win against Eibar last weekend.
That being said, defending Real are clearly in the mood to win their 12th European Cup and while Barcelona are pushing them hard at the top of La Liga they remain in command following a 0-4 drubbing of Granada on Saturday.

|ATTACKING FORM AVERAGES|
|DEFENSIVE FORM AVERAGES|
The first game was billed as a test of attack v defence and Real’s attacking might won out. Atletico were limited to making chances on the break and struggled to produce very much incisive attacking play.
Over the last ten games in all competitions, Atletico have scored nearly half as many goals as Real but conceded nearly half as many goals, shipping just six across the period.
Six clean sheets across this run of fixtures for Atletico is a remarkable record that many teams in Europe would struggle to match.
So while they are miles ahead of Real in terms of defensive form averages, they lag far behind from an attacking viewpoint.
Real have scored an average of over three goals per game across the last ten fixtures in all competitions and the Atletico defence will struggle to keep a lid on Messrs Ronaldo and Benzema this evening.
