Tottenham Hotspur line up Spanish sensation to boost title bid

Having finished third and second in the last two seasons, expectations have grown significantly amongst Tottenham supporters, with many believing that they are now ready to win the Premier League title.

As often seems to be the case, the other leading contenders have been busy splashing the cash in the transfer market, though Spurs might be about to do something similar.

According to reports in Football Italia, AC Milan’s Suso could soon be the subject of a €22m bid, with the former Liverpool man left out of a pre-season trip to China by his Italian employers.

SUSO

The 23-year-old has always possessed plenty of ability, but it is in the last couple of campaigns that his talent has really started to blossom on the Serie A stage.

A loan spell at Genoa gave him the chance to strut his stuff in 2015/16 and the tricky winger responded by scoring six top-flight goals for the mid-table outfit:

That impressive form resulted in increased playing time upon his return to Milan and the Spaniard weighed in with seven goals and nine assists in his 34 Serie A appearances for the Italian giants last term.

Most at home cutting inside onto his favoured left foot from a starting position on the right wing, the 23-year-old can also operate from the opposite flank, whilst his ability to pick a pass means that the no.10 role is not beyond him either:

Although he is undoubtedly a player of enormous potential who could serve Spurs with distinction for years to come, Suso may have a hard time breaking into the team given the level of Heung-Min Son’s top-flight performances in 2016/17.
