A Long Overdue Victory for Spurs? Tottenham’s Predicted XI v Liverpool

By Joel Turner IN General,Lineup,Premier League - 09:15 Oct 22nd 2017

Spurs are looking for a long overdue victory against Liverpool when the sides face-off at Wembley this afternoon.

Despite beating title rivals in recent seasons they’ve failed to beat Liverpool since November 2012.

Fresh from a well-earned draw against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu this week, Spurs will be keen to consolidate on a run that has seen them remain unbeaten across their last six Premier League games. (view our detailed statistical match preview of the game)

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has few new injury concerns heading into the game and will call on a largely full-strength side.

Ben Davies is still unavailable due to illness, as is Mousa Dembele with an ankle injury.

Danny Rose has finally returned to first-team action with a 10-minute substitute appearance but is likely to be gradually brought back into the side and will start from the bench.

Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela still remain a few weeks from returning to full training and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could miss the game due to a concussion.
