All Change for Mourinho? Man United’s Predicted XI v Swansea

By Joel Turner IN General,League Cup,Lineup - 12:05 Oct 24th 2017

After a humbling defeat at the hands of Huddersfield on Saturday, Jose Mourinho will be hoping his side get back to winning ways in the League Cup this evening against Swansea.

United continue their EFL Cup defence in Wales after beating Burton Albion last month to ease into the last-16 of the competition, but Mourinho must pick up his side after the disappointment of last weekend’s defeat.

After losing their unbeaten Premier League record, Mourinho will likely overhaul his team selection for tonight’s game.

With a run of several games now under his belt, summer signing Victor Lindelof will be hopeful of keeping his place in defence as he continues to adapt to English football.

He came on for an injured Phil Jones on Saturday but failed to impress, and as a result Jose Mourinho could start Axel Tuanzebe.

Other changes expected include an opportunity for Sergio Romero in goal. Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind should also start, alongside youngster Scott McTominay.

Marcus Rashford is expected to start, and could lead a pacey attack alongside Anthony Martial.
