Llorente to Start? Spurs’ Predicted Line-up v West Ham

By Joel Turner IN General,League Cup,Lineup - 12:10 Oct 25th 2017

Spurs and West Ham face off at Wembley this evening in a game of some significance to the visitors.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic’s future is likely to be decided based on the result this evening and against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is far more comfortable in his role after a long overdue 4-1 victory over Liverpool last weekend.

It’s thought West Ham will field a weakened side tonight as the Premier League is Bilic’s priority – which should give Spurs a very good chance of progressing to the next round of the tournament.

In-form striker Harry Kane is expected to be rested for the EFL Cup clash, so Fernando Llorente will start.

Juan Foyth will be hoping for his second Spurs appearance after playing against Barnsley in the last round, while forward Erik Lamela could take a place on the bench after a year on the sidelines.

Spurs’ injury problems will likely mean Pochettino is forced to field a strong midfield and attack.
