Chelsea return to Premier League action this weekend having been fortunate to avoid defeat in their last outing. The profligate finishing of Watford’s Richarlison let them off the hook on that occasion, but will this week’s opponents be quite so accommodating?
Bournemouth have struggled to push on once again this season, and currently occupy 19th place in the Premier League. They are much more solid on home turf, however, and the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham have struggled to claim all 3 points here in recent visits.
Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, and he will have to get his team selection right here if he’s to avoid more of the same. This is the XI we expect him to go with:

At the back, the reliable trio of César Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill will continue ahead of Thibaut Courtois. The 4 have started together 39 times previously, and Chelsea have a 72% win rate in those matches.
Chelsea’s midfield will have a more experimental feel to it, with Davide Zappacosta, Cesc Fàbregas, Tiémoué Bakayoko and Marcos Alonso having only started together once previously. That outing was a 3-3 Champions League draw with Roma, but a much better result will be required here.
Antonio Conte can now rely upon his first choice front line once more, with all of his premier attacking talents now fit. Álvaro Morata has scored 7 goals in his first 11 Chelsea outings, and he will be keen to extend that excellent opening on Saturday evening.
Overall it’s an incredibly strong Chelsea side, and one that looks more than capable of gaining the required result on the south coast. Available to back at 20/1 for new Betfair customers, there can surely be no better bet this weekend.
