By Joel Turner IN Champions League,General,Ultimate Form Guide - 12:15 Nov 1st 2017

Spurs are looking to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win against Real Madrid at Wembley tonight.

Tottenham currently sit top of Group H, ahead of Real on goal difference, after their 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in the reverse fixture.

Both teams are currently six points ahead of third-placed Borussia Dortmund, so victory for either team would seal progression to the last 16.

Neither Spurs nor Real Madrid are in the peak of form domestically. Tottenham have lost two of their last three games since to the sides last played, while Real suffered a shock defeat to Girona on Sunday that left them eight points adrift of La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Real have won one more game across the past ten fixtures, while both sides have lost two across the sequence.

From an offensive viewpoint, Real have scored one more goal across the past ten (20 to Spurs’ tally of 19), but have been marginally more wasteful with their chances than Tottenham.

Defensively the sides have an identical record, but Spurs can point to more clean sheets across the past ten fixtures – with five compared to Real’s three.
