Liverpool conjured up memories of one of their most famous nights in midweek, as their fans witnessed a stirring second half comeback from a 3-0 deficit. Sadly, unlike on that magical Istanbul night in 2005, on this occasion it went against the Reds, with Sevilla eventually earning themselves a 3-3 draw from a seemingly impossible position.
There is no time to dwell for Jürgen Klopp and his side, however, as Chelsea visit Anfield this evening. The reigning Premier League champions have run hot and cold at times this season, but look back to their best with back-to-back 4-0 victories.
A pitch-perfect team selection will be required if Liverpool are to gain a positive result from the game, and this is the XI we expect Klopp to go with:

|TOTAL PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE|
The Liverpool manager recently claimed that Joe Gomez could remain in the Reds’ side for the next 15 years, and while that may be pushing it slightly, he certainly looks set to remain here. His partnership with Dejan Lovren, Joël Matip and Alberto Moreno has been questionable thus far, with just 2 victories from 6 outings, and they must improve if they’re to keep out the likes of Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata.
Georginio Wijnaldum was Liverpool’s only goalscorer when these sides met at Anfield last year, and his energy will once again be vital here. Alongside Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho he will form a midfield trio that has been publicly coveted by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Mo Salah has undoubtedly been one of the signings of the season so far, and hit another Premier League double last time out. He will be eager to make an impression against his former employers, and assisted by Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino he has an excellent chance of doing exactly that.
Overall, it’s a very strong Liverpool side and one that has proved itself capable of matching the best on home turf. With odds of 30/1 available on the home win to new Betfair customers, it’s tough to bet against them taking all 3 points here.
