Stars Recalled As Conte Goes For The Kill: Chelsea’s Predicted Line-Up v Liverpool

By timgarrett IN Lineup,Premier League - 09:45 Nov 25th 2017

It would be tough to argue that there haven’t been tough moments during the season so far for Chelsea, but since their decisive 1-0 victory against Manchester United 3 weeks ago they have looked back to their old selves. Consecutive 4-0 wins will do much for confidence, and they’ll be looking to carry that into the Premier League this evening.

Antonio Conte and his side must follow up their grueling midweek trip to Qarabağ with a visit to Anfield, and there will be no place for fatigue as they face Jürgen Klopp’s hugely energetic, high-intensity side.

With the potential for tired legs and minds within his squad, it’s absolutely vital that Conte gets his team selection right here. This is the XI we expect him to go with:

Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen were both rested in midweek, but look set for a recall here. The pair have started alongside the ever-present César Azpilicueta 6 times previously, and keeping 3 clean sheets in the process.

Cesc Fàbregas has looked back to his dazzling best in recent weeks, reveling in the free role allowed to him by his most defensively minded midfield partners. His influence will be key once more, with the more diligent midfield work being left in the highly capable hands of N'Golo Kanté and Tiémoué Bakayoko.

Álvaro Morata has undoubtedly been on of the signings of the season so far, having a hand in 13 goals in just 17 appearances in Chelsea blue. His burgeoning partnership with Eden Hazard has looked increasingly dangerous in recent weeks, and Liverpool will have to be at their best to stop them tonight.

Overall, it’s a highly impressive Chelsea side, and one that has proven itself more than capable of gaining a result away to any side in Europe. With odds of 40/1 available on an away victory for new Betfair customers, there’s definitely money to be won on Conte’s side here.
