It has been a frustrating week for Liverpool, as they followed up stunning 5-1 and 7-0 thrashings of Brighton and Spartak Moscow with back-to-back draws against bottom half Premier League opposition.
These results have seen Jürgen Klopp’s men drop out of the top 4, and an immediate return to winning ways will be required if they’re to maintain their challenge for a spot in the Champions League at the end of the year.
Their next opponents are a Bournemouth side without a win in their last 5. Their effort at Old Trafford in midweek was valiant, but without an all-important cutting edge they looked unlikely to ever pose any great threat to the final destination of all 3 points.
Still, this is a ground upon which Liverpool have struggled in recent years, and the home crowd will once again be very much up for the occasion. Klopp must pick a side capable of coping with such pressure, and this is the XI we expect him to go with:

Simon Mignolet looks set to return after sitting out in midweek. Joël Matip and Ragnar Klavan will be the pair trusted to protect him, and with a 69% win ratio from the 27 games they have started together previously, they look like a good choice.
With Emre Can suspended, Jordan Henderson will take his place at the base of an incredibly attacking Liverpool midfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already has 2 Liverpool away goals to his name, and will be keen to add more here.
Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have only started together 11 times for Liverpool this season, but the Reds have scored 31 goals in those matches. If Klopp does indeed go with this attacking trio, Bournemouth could be in for a torrid time.
Overall, it’s an incredibly strong Liverpool side and one that has every chance of overcoming Eddie Howe’s men. Betfair are offering new customers huge odds of 25/1 on an away win here, and on paper it looks like a very safe bet indeed.
This is backed up by KickOff’s all-new Acca Smacker (below), which uses our unique predictive algorithm to make Liverpool 49% favourites to claim an all-important victory at The Vitality Stadium.
Heading across to the ‘Pro Stats’ tab provides even more reason for Liverpool cheer. Using 18 key data points, 9 attacking and 9 defensive, from the past 10 games for each side, KickOff compares the two sides and finds that Liverpool come out on top in 16 of them; a resounding victory by anyone’s standards.
All in all, Klopp’s men look set for victory. For the smart punter, there really is only one bet here.
