Big Changes for Wenger in the EFL Cup: Arsenal’s Predicted XI v West Ham

By Joel Turner IN General,League Cup,Lineup - 12:05 Dec 19th 2017

Arsenal and West Ham meet for the second time in a week with a place in the EFL Cup semi-finals up for grabs.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium last Wednesday, with the Hammers coming close to snatching a winner in injury time.

Following the appointment of David Moyes West Ham's fortunes have transformed, with a win against Chelsea, draw against Arsenal and win against Stoke in their last three Premier League games.

Arsenal are expected to field a much-changed side for the encounter, continuing manager Arsene Wenger's philosophy of giving squad players a chance to shine in the tournament.

David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy, Mohamed Elneny, Francis Coquelin and Danny Welbeck will all likely start, with Wenger keen to keep his first team fresh ahead of a Friday night encounter in the league against Liverpool.

Aaron Ramsey is still unavailable through injury,  while Theo Walcott's recent groin problem could mean he is unable to feature.
