The World-Class Performer To Replace Mkhitaryan At Manchester United

By timgarrett IN Premier League,Transfers - 21:00 Jan 3rd 2018

When Manchester United shelled out close to £30m to bring in Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016, much was expected of a man who had been tearing it up in the Bundesliga.

What followed, however, was a debut campaign that took a long time to get going, with Jose Mourinho affording the Armenia international just one start and four substitute appearances in the Premier League before the beginning of December.

Although the 28-year-old’s playing time has increased since then, his top-flight numbers remain some way short of those that he served up during his final season in the Bundesliga, leading to reports in The Sun that he could be headed to Inter Milan in January:

In the eyes of Mourinho, any potential deal may well be sweetened by Joao Mario moving in the opposite direction, but surely the Red Devils should be aiming a little higher than a man who has earned just four Serie A starts in 2017/18?

Mesut Özil is a player who the self-styled ‘Special One’ worked with at Real Madrid and the fact that the World Cup winner will be out of contract in the summer means that he could be available in January for the right price.

Although the Arsenal man has been criticised for some of his performances in recent times, his top-flight record in the last season-and-a-half is still far superior to that of Joao Mario, with direct involvement in 26 goals to the Portuguese international’s 11:

At his best, the German is a world-class performer, something that could not be said of the Inter Milan midfielder, and the talented playmaker would surely flourish in the No.10 role at Old Trafford playing under a manager whom he knows and trusts.

The Acca Smacker

Özil's current side Arsenal go head-to-head with top 4 rivals Chelsea tonight in the pick of the action, but with 6 other matches in KickOff's all-new Acca Smacker there's plenty of money to be won.

A home win for Rio Ave is the strongest prediction of the night at 61%, while Benfica will be looking to extend their 10 match home winning streak, as highlighted in the 'Form Streaks' tab.

Braga and Porto, meanwhile, score impressive 18-0 victories over their prospective opponents in the 'Form Stats' tab, making them both great shouts for an away win tonight.

If MU intends to win the Premier League Title, the 1st thing they have to do is kick out Ed Woodward, this guy is the cause of the MU is under performing and the Managers suffers due to lack of talented and good players. Ed Woodward does not have the knowledge who to buy and has lack of know how of players fitting into MU play. The MU Board can even appoint Pep and he too wont be able to improve MU any better than JM. This is all have to do with Ed Wood ward. Kick him out as soon as possible.
