Leeds United Line Up Perfect Signing For Bielsa’s System

Marcelo Bielsa has proven in the past that he is capable of turning ordinary players into extraordinary ones, so much is expected of the Argentinian as he brings his unique coaching philosophy to Elland Road.

Such a revolution will undoubtedly lead to casualties, with many unable to meet the standards demanded of them by the former Athletic Bilbao boss, so it is important that he adds some fresh talent to the group that he has inherited.

According to recent media reports, one potential target for the new man in charge could well be Joe Bryan, with the energetic 24-year-old appearing to be a perfect fit for a left-sided role in Bielsa’s preferred 3-3-3-1 formation.

A rising star at Championship level, the Bristol City player looks set for a massive future in the game, whilst the fact that he has just one year remaining on his contract could force the Robins to sell this summer.

An extremely adventurous full-back, Bryan weighed in with an impressive tally of five goals and three assists in the second tier last season, whilst his defensive numbers were far superior to those put up by the ineffectual Laurens De Bock in limited showings for Leeds:

Having now clocked up in excess of 100 Championship appearances over the course of the last three seasons, the 24-year-old certainly doesn’t lack for experience, and bringing him in would finally help to fill the void left by Charlie Taylor’s departure last summer:

Middlesbrough, as well as several Premier League clubs, are also thought to be interested in securing the Bristol City man’s signature, but developing his game under Bielsa would surely be the best option for a player who attacks as well as he defends.
