Serie A stats and tips

Sunday 10th May

A Mineiro v Botafogo - Both Teams To Score - yes

Botafogo fans have become used to drama at each end when their team plays in Serie A, with both sides having scored in every one of their last 9 matches. Atlético Mineiro on Sunday night could be another thriller.

Remo v Palmeiras - Double Chance - away win or draw

Luckily for them, it has been quite some time since Palmeiras’s merry followers watched their side lose in Serie A. A. Moreira Ferreira’s squad is now unbeaten in 9 games, and he'll be full of belief that they can keep going against Remo at Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença on Sunday night. Best odds of 1.20 are available to back Palmeiras to get the win or the draw.

Corinthians v Sao Paulo - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always entirely dull, but fans of Corinthians have had too many chances to test that theory this campaign. 11 of their side's games in Serie A have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will H. Crespo and his Sao Paulo team be capable of adding some goalmouth action into this match on Sunday? Or will it be same old same old?

Mirassol v Chapecoense - Half Time / Full Time - draw+draw

It may not be a record they're all that enamoured with, but Chapecoense currently lead all opponents in Serie A when it comes to matches where they've been drawing at both the break and the final whistle this campaign, with their tally now at 5 in 13 games. They will put that somewhat unwelcome consistency on the line versus Mirassol at on Sunday, in a clash that could see yet another dead heat.

Santos v Bragantino - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like tipping goals and choosing a winner, then the upcoming game between Santos and Bragantino might well be worth a look. J. Vojvoda's side have lost 5 games this season in which both clubs have found the net. That's a record in Serie A.

Gremio v Flamengo - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Gremio have been involved in some low-scoring matches in Serie A in recent weeks. There have been under 2.5 goals in all of L. Ribeiro de Castro's side's last 5 outings and, with F. Kasmirski and his Flamengo ahead on Sunday night, their attackers may well need to put in some extra practice in the build-up.

Monday 11th May

Vasco d Gama v Athletico PR - Both Teams To Score - yes

Supporters at Estádio Club de Regatas Vasco da will be banking on action at both ends on Monday, and rightly so if Vasco da Gama's past record is anything to go by. Both teams have scored in 12 of their 14 Serie A fixtures this season, the largest number in the competition.

Saturday 16th May

A Mineiro v Mirassol - Both Teams To Score - no

If we trust the form book, we can predict at least one defence to keep a clean sheet at Estádio Raimundo Sampaio on Saturday, as J. Sampaoli Moya and R. Silva Guanaes's sides clash. Atlético Mineiro have had the most fixtures where one team or more has failed to find the back of the net (i.e. BTTS no) in Serie A so far this campaign - 9 out of 14 played. Both gaffers will just be praying it isn't their side that flounders in front of goal.

Internacional v Vasco d Gama - Both Teams To Score - yes

Fans at Estádio José Pinheiro Borda will be fully expecting plenty goalmouth action on Saturday, and they're right to, if Vasco da Gama's recent record is to be continued. Both teams have scored in 12 of their 14 Serie A matches this season, a record matched by no other team in the competition.

Sunday 17th May

Palmeiras v Cruzeiro - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

A. Bacchi won't be looking forward to facing Palmeiras in Serie A on Sunday. A. Moreira Ferreira's side have been winning at HT and gone on to secure the win at final whistle more frequently than any other club in the Serie A this term - 9 times in total. That stat suggests there's every chance of it being a demoralising morning for Cruzeiro, and that backing Palmeiras in the halftime fulltime market would be a great shout at odds of 2.60.

Santos v Cortiba - Double Chance - home win or draw

Coritiba simply have not been able to find a way past Santos in the league in recent years. The two sides have played on 8 occasions since 2020, and Santos have been unbeaten in them all. Sunday's game at Estádio Urbano Caldeira could be another hard one for M. Batista Junior & co.

Botafogo v Corinthians - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always tedious affairs, but fans of Corinthians have had plenty of opportunity to test that theory this campaign. 11 of their side's games in Serie A have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will Davide Ancelotti and his Botafogo team be capable of adding some goals into this fixture on Sunday? Or will it be more of the same?

Chapecoense v Remo - Half Time / Full Time - draw+draw

It may not be an honour they're all that proud of, but Chapecoense currently lead all other teams in Serie A when it comes to matches drawn at both HT and FT this campaign, with their tally now at 5 in 13 outings. They will put that somewhat unwelcome consistency on the line versus Remo at Arena Condá on Sunday, in a clash that could see yet another dead heat.

Athletico PR v Flamengo - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

Athletico PR will be hoping not to add to the 5 matches they have already been losing at both HT and FT this campaign when they face Flamengo on Sunday. O. Hellmann's players already top the rest of Serie A in that category, and won't want to make their record any worse. Opposing boss F. Kasmirski will be licking his lips, however.
