Serie A stats and tips

Saturday 25th April

Bahia v Santos - Double Chance - home win or draw

Bahia should emerge from their tie with Santos with a positive result, at least that's if our bettors are to be believed. 6 of our users are backing R. Mücke Ceni's side in the double chance market in front of the home crowd at Arena Fonte Nova in Serie A on Saturday nightmeaning they will not lose, although the game could end level..

Botafogo v Internacional - Both Teams To Score - yes

Botafogo followers have been spoilt with drama at each end when their side plays in Serie A, with both sides having found the net in every one of their last 7 games. Internacional on Saturday night may well be another thriller.

Remo v Cruzeiro - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

Expect entertainment, excitement and plenty of goalmouth action when Remo and Cruzeiro go head-to-head on Saturday night in Serie A. A. Ferreira and A. Bacchi's teams are capable of delivering at the top of the park, and KickOff's smart bettors have faith in them to illustrate that at Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença. 6 of them are tipping there to be 3 goals or more before full time. 1.95 is the most-enticing price among the UK's top bookmakers for that suggestion, and it could well be one to watch.

Sunday 26th April

Sao Paulo v Mirassol - Over / Under 0.5 Goals - over

0-0s have been an almost unheard of occurrence in Sao Paulo's Serie A outings recently. Their last 43 have had over 0.5 goals, and Sunday morning's clash with R. Silva Guanaes's Mirassol really should deliver more of the same.

Corinthians v Vasco d Gama - Both Teams To Score - yes

Vasco da Gama followers have come to expect entertainment at each end when their team plays in Serie A, with both teams having scored at least one goal in every one of their last 9 games. Corinthians on Sunday night may well be another ding-dong battle.

Gremio v Cortiba - Double Chance - away win or draw

What a dismal run of results for Gremio and their supporters, with their last Serie A success now coming 5 games ago. Boss L. Ribeiro de Castro needs to find a way out, and quickly. Will Coritiba at Arena do Grêmio on Sunday provide some relief?

Athletico PR v Vitoria - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

Athletico PR will be hoping not to add to the 5 matches they have already been behind in at both the break and the final whistle this term when they square off against Vitória on Sunday. O. Hellmann's players already lead the rest of Serie A in that department, and won't want to make the situation any worse. Opposing boss J. Ribeiro Ventura may not feel the same way, however.

Bragantino v Palmeiras - Double Chance - away win or draw

A. Moreira Ferreira and his Palmeiras troops have found a convenient knack of getting something from pretty much every Serie A fixture they play. They're unbeaten in 7 in Serie A now, so V. Carmo Mancini and his Bragantino charges will need to be on top of their game if they're to stand any chance at Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques on Sunday.

Monday 27th April

A Mineiro v Flamengo - Both Teams To Score - no

If the form book is to be believed, we can expect at least one goalkeeper to earn a clean sheet at Estádio Raimundo Sampaio on Monday, as J. Sampaoli Moya and F. Kasmirski's sides clash. Atlético Mineiro have had the highest number of fixtures where one team or more has failed to find the back of the net (i.e. BTTS no) in Serie A so far this campaign - 8 out of 12 played. Both bosses will just be hoping it isn't their team that flounders in front of goal.

Fluminense v Chapecoense - Double Chance - home win or draw

What a dreadful set of results for Chapecoense and their fans, with their last Serie A success now coming 10 games ago. Boss G. Dal Pozzo has to find a way out, and preferably right away. Will Fluminense at Estadio Jornalista Mário Filho on Monday be the one in which they turn it around?

Saturday 2nd May

Botafogo v Remo - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

If you fancy a thriller on Saturday night, then the clash between Botafogo and Remo could be one to watch. Davide Ancelotti's team lead Serie A in most matches with at least 3 goals scored so far this season. 10 of their Serie A games have already gone that way. With form like that, surely only a parking of the bus from A. Ferreira's men could ruin the spectacle.

Palmeiras v Santos - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

J. Vojvoda won't be looking forward to the prospect of playing Palmeiras in Serie A on Saturday. A. Moreira Ferreira's side have led at the break and gone on to secure the win at final whistle more often than any other team in the Serie A this season - 8 times in total. That stat suggests it may be a difficult night for Santos, and that backing Palmeiras in the HT FT market could be a smart move at odds of 2.30.

Sunday 3rd May

Athletico PR v Gremio - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

Athletico PR will be hoping not to add to the 5 times they have already lost at both HT and FT this campaign when they take on Gremio on Sunday. O. Hellmann's side already lead the rest of Serie A in that category, and won't want to make the situation any worse. Opposing boss L. Ribeiro de Castro may not feel the same way, however.

Cruzeiro v A Mineiro - Both Teams To Score - no

If we trust the form book, we can back at least one defence to earn a clean sheet at Estádio Governador Magalhães Pin on Sunday, as J. Sampaoli Moya and A. Bacchi's sides clash. Atlético Mineiro have had the highest number of matches where one team or more has not found the net (i.e. BTTS no) in Serie A so far this season - 8 out of 12 played. Both gaffers will just be desperate that it isn't their them that flounders in front of goal.

Flamengo v Vasco d Gama - Double Chance - home win or draw

Vasco da Gama simply have not been able to find a way past Flamengo in the Serie A in recent years. The two teams have clashed on 12 occasions since 2018, and Flamengo have been unbeaten in them all. Sunday's game at Estadio Jornalista Mário Filho could be a really difficult one for F. Diniz Silva & co.

Chapecoense v Bragantino - Both Teams To Score & Result - draw

Arena Condá is the venue as Chapecoense and Bragantino meet on Sunday night, in what might just be a real crowd-pleaser. G. Dal Pozzo's side have the most BTTS + draws of any team in the competition - 4 in 11 outings. An extension of that record is available at 4.33.

Internacional v Fluminense - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Internacional and Fluminense have been involved in a number of low-scoring matches in recent years. With each of their last 6 Serie A matches ending with under 2.5 goals, the attackers picked by A. da Silva Braga and L. Zubeldía may be in for a tough night.

Monday 4th May

Mirassol v Corinthians - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always tedious affairs, but fans of Corinthians have had lots of chances to test that theory this term. 10 of their side's games in Serie A have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will R. Silva Guanaes and his Mirassol side be capable of adding some spice into this clash on Monday? Or will it be more of the same?
