What are enhanced odds?
Enhanced odds are available across a variety of games and competitions. They are essentially an enhanced price for a particular bet – and often have their own branding with specific bookmakers, such as ‘Price Boost’ or ‘Power Price.’ We detail enhanced accumulators, free bets and sign-up bonus offers separately – so you know exactly what you’re signing up to.
Due to their promotional nature they usually only cover big leagues and cups such as the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the Champions League and Europa League.
When are enhanced odds offers available?
Enhanced odds and price boosts are generally short-lived and relate to upcoming games. Sometimes they are only available on the day of a match. The majority of enhanced prices relate to just one market in the game, e.g. win-draw-win or anytime goalscorer.
Some bookmakers favour them over others, with Betfair, Coral, Paddy Power and 888Sport producing far more enhanced odds than other leading betting sites.
Enhanced odds offers in the UK generally focus on the Premier League, Champions League and La Liga, with some special odds for big Sky Bet Championship, FA Cup and League Cup games.
What types of enhanced odds are available?
Typically odds will only receive a minor boost, but one that favours the most likely outcome in that market. Sometimes the odds will be raised significantly – often in the case of enhanced accumulators that feature multiple selections.
In almost all cases there is a limit on the amount that can be wagered via an enhanced offer. Usually, any winnings from these offers are paid out in the form of free bets, but on occasion, this will only apply to the portion of the bet that is over and above the standard odds.
On occasion, winnings are paid in cash, but it’s best to check the terms and conditions of the offer if you are uncertain. In a lot of instances, your original stake will be refunded as free bet should you lose.
