J-League stats and tips

Saturday 6th December

Cerezo v Yokohama - Both Teams To Score - yes

Fans at Yanmar Stadium Nagai may be banking on action at both ends on Saturday, and they're right to, if Cerezo Osaka's past record is anything to go by. There have been a goal in both nets in 27 of their 37 J-League matches this season, more than any side in the competition.

Gamba Osaka v Tokyo Verdy - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always tedious affairs, but fans of Tokyo Verdy 1969 have had plenty of opportunity to test that theory this term. 27 of their side's games in J-League have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will D. Algaba and his Gamba Osaka team be capable of adding some goalmouth action into this match on Saturday? Or will it be same old same old?

Kashima v Yokohama FM - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Kashima Antlers and Yokohama F. Marinos have met in the J-League, they've delivered proper entertainment. Both sides have found the net in each of their last 5 clashes, so the Kashima Soccer Stadium faithful will be expecting another classic on Saturday morning.

Kyoto Sanga v Vissel Kobe - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

T. Yoshida won't be looking forward to facing Kyoto Sanga in J-League on Saturday. K. Cho's side have been ahead at halftime and gone on to claim victory at fulltime in more games than any other team in the J-League this season - 11 times in total. That stat suggests there's every chance of it being a tough morning for Vissel Kobe, and that backing Kyoto Sanga in the halftime fulltime market could be a great shout at odds of 5.00.

Nagoya v Avispa - Half Time / Full Time - draw+draw

It might not be an honour they're all that proud of, but Avispa Fukuoka currently lead all opponents in J-League when it comes to matches in which they have been level at both the break and the final whistle this term, with their tally now at 11 in 37 games. They will put that somewhat unwelcome consistency to the test against Nagoya Grampus Eight at Nagoya Mizuho Athletic Stadium on Saturday, in a clash that could see yet another dead heat.

Hiroshima v Shonan - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

Shonan Bellmare will be looking to avoid adding to the 13 times they have already been losing at both the break and the final whistle this season when they play Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Saturday. S. Yamaguchi's team already top the rest of J-League in that category, and won't want to make it any worse. Opposing boss M. Skibbe , on the other hand, will be feeling very differently.

Shimizu v Fagiano - Double Chance - home win or draw

Fagiano Okayama have consistently struggled against Shimizu S-Pulse in the league in recent years. The two sides have played on 5 occasions since 2023, and Shimizu S-Pulse have been unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Iwagin Stadium could be another hard one for Yuki Kosaka & co.

Tokyo v Albirex - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

Who doesn't love a goal-fest? And there's every chance we'll see one when Tokyo and Albirex Niigata go head-to-head on Saturday morning in J-League. R. Matsuhashi and T. Irie's sides have shown they know their way to goal, and KickOff's well-informed members have faith in them to illustrate that at Ajinomoto Stadium. 5 of them are tipping the game to have over 2.5 goals during the 90 mins. 1.80 is the most-enticing price in our betslip for their suggestion, and it will have plenty of people getting excited.

Urawa Reds v Kawasaki - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Urawa Reds and Kawasaki Frontale have met in the J-League, goals have generally followed. Both sides have found the net in each of their last 8 matches against one another, so the National Olympic Stadium crowd could be in for another classic on Saturday morning.
