Premiership stats and tips

Saturday 24th January

Aberdeen v Livingston - Win / Draw / Win - away win

Losing streaks can be incredibly difficult to break, but that's the task facing Aberdeen boss Peter Leven on Saturday. His players face Livingston having failed to get anything but defeat out of their last 4 Premiership outings.

Dundee Utd v St. Mirren - Both Teams To Score & Result - draw

Tannadice Park is the venue as Dundee United and St. Mirren go head-to-head on Saturday afternoon, in what could prove to be a real crowd-pleaser. J. Goodwin's side have the highest number of BTTS + draws of any team in the division - 9 in 22 matches. An extension of that record is available at 4.33.

Falkirk v Hibernian - Double Chance - away win or draw

D. Gray and his Hibernian side have gained a useful knack of getting something from almost every Premiership fixture they play. They're unbeaten in 5 in the Premiership now, so J. McGlynn and his Falkirk team will have to be at their best if they're to get the win at Falkirk Community Stadium on Saturday.

Motherwell v Kilmarnock - Double Chance - home win or draw

Trekking across the width and breadth of the country to support your club can be a thankless task, and Kilmarnock’s hardy follows know that better than most at the moment. Their side, led by S. Kettlewell, has now failed to win any of their last 15 Premiership matches, and the clouds hardly look like parting against Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday afternoon. Backing opposition boss J. Askou to extend the run by leading his lads to anything other than a defeat is available at best odds of 1.12.

Sunday 25th January

Hearts v Celtic - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

M. O'Neill won't be too excited about the prospect of playing Heart of Midlothian in the Premiership on Sunday. D. McInnes's side have led at HT and gone on to win at fulltime more frequently than any other side in the the Premiership this season - 10 times in total. That record suggests it may be a difficult afternoon for Celtic, and that backing Heart of Midlothian in the HT FT market could be a strong bet at odds of 5.00.

Rangers v Dundee - Win / Draw / Win - home win

It's all eyes on Rangers in recent weeks. They've won 5 consecutive Premiership matches, and D. Röhl will be going all out to maintain that winning streak as they face Dundee at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Saturday 31st January

Kilmarnock v Aberdeen - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always entirely dull, but fans of Aberdeen have had plenty of opportunity to test that theory this campaign. 16 of their side's games in the Premiership have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will S. Kettlewell and his Kilmarnock side be able to inject goalmouth action into this encounter on Saturday? Or will it be more of the same?

Livingston v Motherwell - Win / Draw / Win - away win

Motherwell have dominated Livingston in the Premiership of late, with a run of 5 straight wins against them. D. Martindale will be doing all he can to turn the tide, while J. Askou will be expecting more of the same on Saturday afternoon.

St. Mirren v Dundee - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

Dundee will be hoping not to add to the 10 matches they have already lost at both halftime and fulltime this campaign when they face St. Mirren on Saturday. S. Pressley's players already top the rest of the Premiership in that category, and won't want to make their record any worse. Opposing boss S. Robinson will be licking his lips, however.

Dundee Utd v Hearts - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

J. Goodwin won't be too excited about the prospect of playing Heart of Midlothian in the Premiership on Saturday. D. McInnes's side have been winning at halftime and gone on to claim victory at final whistle in more games than any other side in the the Premiership this season - 10 times in total. That record suggests there's every chance of it being a difficult night for Dundee United, and that backing Heart of Midlothian in the HT FT market could be a strong bet at odds of 2.63.

Sunday 1st February

Celtic v Falkirk - Both Teams To Score & Result - home

Falkirk will be concerned that 1 goal is unlikely to be enough to get the win against Celtic on Sunday afternoon. M. O'Neill's men have the best record in the Premiership when it comes to winning games in which both teams are on the scoresheet (5 of their 22 games), so keeping things tight might be the only viable route for J. McGlynn and his Falkirk team at Celtic Park.

Tuesday 3rd February

St. Mirren v Hearts - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

S. Robinson won't be looking forward to the prospect of playing Heart of Midlothian in the Premiership on Tuesday. D. McInnes's side have been winning at halftime and gone on to claim victory at fulltime in more games than any other side in the the Premiership this season - 10 times in total. That stat suggests it may be a difficult night for St. Mirren, and that backing Heart of Midlothian in the halftime fulltime market would be a smart move at odds of 2.75.
