League One stats and tips

Saturday 14th March

Lincoln v Stockport - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

D. Challinor won't be looking forward to going up against Lincoln City in League One on Saturday. M. Skubala's side have been ahead at the break and gone on to claim victory at final whistle in more games than any other side in the League One this season - 19 times in total. That record suggests it may be a long lunch time for Stockport County, and that backing Lincoln City in the halftime fulltime market could be a strong bet at odds of 3.00.

Rotherham v Bolton - Half Time / Full Time - draw+draw

It may not be an honour they're especially proud of, but Bolton Wanderers currently lead all other teams in League One when it comes to fixtures where they've been drawing at both the break and the final whistle this term, with their tally now at 8 in 36 matches. They will put that unwanted consistency to the test against Rotherham United at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday, in a game that could see yet another stalemate.

Doncaster v Blackpool - Over / Under 5.5 Goals - over

Doncaster Rovers have been League One's entertainers this term, at least in when it comes to serving up high scoring matches. No other side can boast more than their record of having been involved in 4 over 5.5 goal games this campaign. Can they bring their tally to 5 when they play Blackpool on Saturday afternoon? With odds of 11.00 on offer, it might be one to watch.

Exeter v Cardiff - Both Teams To Score - no

If the form book is to be believed, we can back at least one defence to earn a clean sheet at St James Park on Saturday, as G. Caldwell and B. Barry-Murphy's teams meet. Exeter City have had the highest number of fixtures where one team or more has not scored (i.e. BTTS no) in League One so far this term - 21 out of 36 played. Both gaffers will just be praying it isn't their them that draws a blank.

L Orient v Peterborough - Double Chance - away win or draw

Leyton Orient have found something of a bogey team in Peterborough United in the League One in recent years. The two teams have played on 7 occasions since 2014, and Peterborough United have gone unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Matchroom Stadium could be another hard one for R. Wellens & co.

Mansfield v Barnsley - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

If you're not busy on Saturday afternoon, then the clash between Barnsley and Mansfield Town could be the one for you. C. Hourihane's team lead League One in most matches with more than 2 goals scored so far this season. 23 of their League One games have already gone that way. With a record like that, surely only a defensive masterclass from N. Clough's men could ruin the spectacle.

Northampton v Burton - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

Northampton Town will be looking to avoid adding to the 12 matches they have already been behind in at both halftime and fulltime this term when they play Burton Albion on Saturday. K. Nolan's side already top the rest of League One in that area, and won't want to make their record any worse. Opposing boss G. Bowyer , on the other hand, will be feeling very differently.

Port Vale v Huddersfield - Double Chance - away win or draw

Port Vale have consistently struggled against Huddersfield Town in the League One in recent years. The two teams have clashed on 6 occasions since 2006, and Huddersfield Town have been unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Vale Park could be a really difficult one for D. Moore & co.

Reading v Plymouth - Both Teams To Score - yes

Supporters at Madejski Stadium will be banking on goals galore on Saturday, and they're right to, if Reading's recent record is anything to go by. There have been a goal in both nets in 25 of their 36 League One matches this season, the largest number in the competition.

Stevenage v AFC Wim - Double Chance - home win or draw

AFC Wimbledon have found something of a bogey team in Stevenage in the league in recent years. The two clubs have clashed on 7 occasions since 2014, and Stevenage have gone unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Lamex Stadium could be a really difficult one for J. Jackson & co.

Wigan v Bradford - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring games aren't always boring, but fans of Wigan Athletic have had lots of chances to test that theory this term. 23 of their side's fixtures in League One have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will G. Alexander and his Bradford City team be capable of adding some goalmouth action into this match on Saturday? Or will it be yet another low scoring affair?

Wycombe v Luton - Double Chance - away win or draw

Wycombe Wanderers have found something of a bogey team in Luton Town in the league in recent years. The two clubs have clashed on 5 occasions since 2018, and Luton Town have been unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Adams Park could be a really difficult one for M. Duff & co.

Tuesday 17th March

AFC Wim v L Orient - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like backing goals and choosing a victor, then the upcoming match between Leyton Orient and AFC Wimbledon might well be worth a look. R. Wellens's side have lost 11 games this term in which both clubs have scored. That's a record in League One.

Saturday 21st March

L Orient v Wycombe - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like backing goals and picking a winner, then the upcoming clash between Leyton Orient and Wycombe Wanderers might well be the one for you. R. Wellens's side have lost 11 games this season in which both teams have got on the scoresheet. That's the highest number in League One.

Tuesday 24th March

Doncaster v Port Vale - Over / Under 5.5 Goals - over

Doncaster Rovers have been League One's entertainers this season, at least in terms of producing goal-filled matches. No other team can boast more than their record of having been involved in 4 six-goal thrillers this campaign. Can they bring their tally to 5 when they take on Port Vale on Saturday afternoon? With odds of 15.00 on offer, it might be one to watch.

Tuesday 14th April

Port Vale v Barnsley - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

Tipsters and fans alike will be praying for a deluge of goals when Port Vale and Barnsley go head-to-head on Sunday afternoon in League One. D. Moore and C. Hourihane's squads are more than talented enough to score in this fixture, and KickOff's smart tipsters are backing them to show that at Vale Park. 8 of them are tipping there to be at least 3 goals in total. 1.95 is the most-enticing price in our betslip for their suggestion, and there will be a lot of happy faces around if it does deliver.

Wednesday 15th April

AFC Wim v Stockport - Over / Under 4.5 Goals - under

We all love a game in which more than 4 goals fly in, but Stockport County's dedicated supporters have now waited 8 matches to watch their team deliver one. A frustrating statistic in anyone's book. Will that much-needed goal-fest finally come around on Saturday afternoon, as they face J. Jackson's AFC Wimbledon at Cherry Red Records Stadium? With odds of 1.07 on there being under 4.5 goals, the bookmakers certainly don’t think so.
