Premiership stats and tips

Sunday 22nd March

Dundee Utd v Celtic - Both Teams To Score - yes

Celtic followers have become used to drama at each end when their side plays in the Premiership, with both teams having scored at least one goal in all of their last 6 games. Dundee United on Sunday lunch time may well be another goal-fest.

Saturday 4th April

Hibernian v Kilmarnock - Double Chance - home win or draw

Kilmarnock have found something of a bogey team in Hibernian in the Premiership in recent years. The two clubs have clashed on 9 occasions since 2023, and Hibernian have remained unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Easter Road could be another hard one for S. Kettlewell & co.

Motherwell v Falkirk - Over / Under 0.5 Goals - under

Fans heading to Fir Park this Saturday to watch Motherwell and Falkirk might already be concerned about a boring afternoon, and who could blame them? J. Askou's men have been involved in 5 goalless draws this term, the most of any team in the Premiership. Will anybody break the deadlock? You can bet against it at leading odds of 12.00.

Rangers v Dundee Utd - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Rangers and Dundee United have met in the Premiership, goals have been the order of the day. Both sides have scored in each of their last 5 meetings, so the Ibrox faithful could be in for another nail-biter on Saturday afternoon.

St. Mirren v Aberdeen - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always tedious affairs, but fans of Aberdeen have had too many chances to test that theory this season. 20 of their side's encounters in the Premiership have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will S. Robinson and his St. Mirren side be able to inject spice into this clash on Saturday? Or will it be more of the same?

Sunday 5th April

Livingston v Hearts - Double Chance - away win or draw

Supporting your team home and away can be hard going, and Livingston’s dogged old follows know that only too well right now. Their team, led by D. Martindale, has not won any of their last 29 Premiership matches, and few will be expecting them to end that run against Heart of Midlothian at Tony Macaroni Arena on Sunday afternoon. Backing opposition boss D. McInnes to add another to that list by guiding his side to a positive result can be backed at best odds of 1.10.

Dundee v Celtic - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

If you're looking for some proper entertainment on Sunday afternoon, then the clash between Celtic and Dundee could be worth checking out. M. O'Neill's team lead the Premiership in most matches with at least 3 goals scored so far this season. 20 of their Premiership games have already gone that way. With form like that, surely only a parking of the bus from S. Pressley's men could keep the score down.
