La Liga stats and tips

Friday 2nd January

R.Vallecano v Getafe - Win / Draw / Win - home win

Bad form can be tough to shift, but that's what's required of Getafe boss J. Bordalás Jiménez on Friday. His players face Rayo Vallecano having been beaten in each of their last 3 La Liga outings.

Saturday 3rd January

Celta v Valencia - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring fixtures aren't always entirely dull, but fans of Celta de Vigo have had too many chances to test that theory this campaign. 13 of their side's fixtures in La Liga have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will C. Corberán Vallet and his Valencia CF side be capable of adding some spice into this match on Saturday? Or will it be more of the same?

Elche v Villarreal - Win / Draw / Win - away win

Villarreal would surely be delighted to learn of the confidence our betting community has in them, as 6 of them are backing M. García Toral and his boys to claim an away win as they visit Elche CF at Martínez Valero in La Liga on Saturday evening. Imagine the scenes in the away end if they're proven right. If you fancied placing the crowd, 2.20 is about the best value you’ll find.

Espanyol v Barcelona - Win / Draw / Win - home win

There's some serious momentum building behind Espanyol at the moment. They've claimed victory in 5 consecutive La Liga games, and J. González Álvarez will be giving his utmost to keep that run going as they go into battle with FC Barcelona at RCDE Stadium on Saturday night.

Sunday 4th January

Sevilla v Levante - Double Chance - home win or draw

Being a football fan can be a tough old business, and Levante’s dogged old follows know that only too well at the moment. Their club, led by J. Calero Fernández, is now winless in their previous 8 La Liga matches, and the clouds hardly look like parting against Sevilla at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Sunday afternoon. Backing opposition manager M. Almeyda to add to their misery by leading his team to a positive result can be backed at top odds of 1.20.

Real Madrid v Real Betis - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

M. Pellegrini won't be relishing going up against Real Madrid in La Liga on Sunday. X. Alonso Olano's side have led at the break and gone on to secure the win at fulltime more frequently than any other side in the La Liga this season - 10 times in total. That record suggests there's every chance of it being a demoralising afternoon for Real Betis, and that backing Real Madrid in the HT FT market would be a strong bet at odds of 1.95.

Alaves v Real Oviedo - Double Chance - home win or draw

Following your favourite footy team year after year can be draining, and Real Oviedo’s hardy follows know that feeling especially well at the moment. Their club, led by L. Carrión Delgado, has not won any of their last 10 La Liga matches, and few will be expecting them to end that run against Alaves at Mendizorroza on Sunday evening. Backing opposition boss E. Coudet to add another to that list by guiding his team to either a win or draw can be bet on at best odds of 1.17.

Mallorca v Girona - Over / Under 4.5 Goals - under

Mallorca's recent outings in La Liga have delivered spills and thrills aplenty, but it has been some time since J. Arrasate's players treated their fans to one of those games that has you waxing lyrical in the pub afterwards. There have been under 4.5 goals in all of their last 13 games.

R.Sociedad v A.Madrid - Double Chance - away win or draw

Real Sociedad have consistently struggled against Atletico de Madrid in the La Liga in recent years. The two clubs have played on 11 occasions since 2020, and Atletico de Madrid have been unbeaten in them all. Sunday's game at Anoeta could be a really difficult one for S. Francisco Ramos & co.

Friday 9th January

Getafe v R.Sociedad - Both Teams To Score - yes

Supporters at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez may be banking on plenty goalmouth action on Friday, and they're right to, if Real Sociedad's recent record is anything to go by. Both teams have found the net in 13 of their 17 La Liga matches this season, a record matched by no other team in the competition.

Saturday 10th January

Real Oviedo v Real Betis - Half Time / Full Time - away+away

Real Oviedo will be looking to avoid adding to the 8 times they have already been losing at both HT and FT this term when they take on Real Betis on Saturday. L. Carrión Delgado's players already lead the rest of La Liga in that area, and won't want to make their record any worse. Opposing boss M. Pellegrini may not feel the same way, however.

Valencia v Elche - Double Chance - home win or draw

Elche CF have consistently struggled against Valencia CF in the La Liga in recent years. The two clubs have played on 5 occasions since 2021, and Valencia CF have remained unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Mestalla could be a really difficult one for E. Sarabia Armesto & co.

Sunday 11th January

R.Vallecano v Mallorca - Double Chance - away win or draw

Rayo Vallecano simply have not been able to find a way past Mallorca in the La Liga in recent years. The two clubs have clashed on 7 occasions since 2022, and Mallorca have been unbeaten in them all. Sunday's game at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas could be a tricky one for I. Pérez Soto & co.

Levante v Espanyol - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Levante and Espanyol have met in the league, goals have been the order of the day. Both sides have found the net in each of their last 5 matches against one another, so the Ciutat de Valencia faithful will be expecting another classic on Sunday afternoon.

Monday 12th January

Sevilla v Celta - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring games aren't always boring, but fans of Celta de Vigo have had plenty of opportunity to test that theory this season. 13 of their side's games in La Liga have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will M. Almeyda and his Sevilla side be capable of adding some goals into this match on Monday? Or will it be more of the same?

How to Pick a La Liga Accumulator

Best known for its biggest teams, such as El Clasico rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona, Spain’s top domestic league has twenty sides.

Since 2000 only Valencia and Atletico Madrid have broken the Barcelona-Real Madrid duopoly, claiming three titles between them.

While most people are comfortable adding Real or Barca to their accumulator, they may not know much about the other sides in the division.

Our predictions and form guides provide a shortcut that allows you to easily spot winners and place a single or multiple bet.
