We’ll be explaining anytime goalscorer tips, the market and offers to take advantage of (including free bets).
Anytime Goalscorer Tips and Predictions - Friday 20th September to Monday 23rd September
Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur – Harry Kane
Leicester supporters must be absolutely sick of the sight of Harry Kane, with the England captain finding the net 12 times against the Foxes in all competitions in the colours of Tottenham. Half of the 26-year-old’s goals in meetings between these two sides have been netted at the King Power Stadium, including four in one match back in May 2017.
Manchester City v Watford – Raheem Sterling
Starting with a hat-trick in this fixture last season, Raheem Sterling has now found the net ten times in his last 13 Premier League appearances; not bad for a player who was criticised for his finishing earlier in his career. What’s more, the England international clearly has a liking for going up against the Hornets, having scored twice against them in the FA Cup Final.
Burnley v Norwich City – Ashley Barnes
For all that Norwich have delighted Premier League crowds so far this season, Daniel Farke’s charges certainly have some issues to address defensively, having conceded 12 goals in five games so far. Ashley Barnes, a man who has been on target 13 times at this level in 2019, should certainly be licking his lips at the prospect of adding to what is an impressive tally.
Luton Town v Hull City – James Collins
The current calendar year has been an impressive one in the career of James Collins, with the Luton striker netting a total of 19 goals in two different divisions and collecting a League One winners’ medal along the way. Although eight of the Republic of Ireland international’s efforts have put the Hatters 1-0 up, he is yet to open the scoring for them this season.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips and Predictions - Friday 13th September to Monday 16th September
Liverpool v Newcastle United – Mo Salah
Although he has perhaps struggled to hit the heights of what was an incredible 2017/18 campaign, Mo Salah has not exactly been short of goals in recent times either, weighing in with ten in his last 16 competitive appearances for Liverpool. What’s more, the Egyptian international boasts three goals in four appearances against Newcastle for the Reds.
Fulham v West Bromwich Albion – Aleksandar Mitrovic
To say that Aleksandar Mitrovic has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks would be somewhat of an understatement, with the powerful centre-forward finding the net in seven consecutive games for club and country. Not only that, but the Serbian international is yet to draw a blank in three appearances at Craven Cottage during the current campaign.
Swansea City v Nottingham Forest – Borja Baston
The summer departure of Oli McBurnie left Swansea with a massive void to fill in attack, but the early signs are that Borja Baston could prove to be an equally impressive replacement. Having spent the last couple of campaigns on loan at Malaga and Alaves respectively, the 27-year-old has hit the ground running upon his return, scoring five times in six appearances.
Norwich City v Manchester City – Raheem Sterling
Raheem Sterling has enjoyed a phenomenal start to the 2019/20 campaign, scoring eight times in seven appearances for club and country and only failing to find the net on one occasion. Given that Norwich have conceded at a rate of 2.5 goals per game since returning to the Premier League, the 24-year-old is likely to be presented with plenty of opportunities.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips and Predictions - Friday 30th August to Monday 2nd September
West Ham United v Norwich City – Sebastien Haller
Sebastien Haller’s two-goal showing at Watford gave West Ham and their supporters a first-hand look at what their new centre-forward can bring to the table. A scorer of 15 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, some 80% of the 25-year-old’s strikes came after the deadlock had already been broken by a teammate or opposition player.
Sheffield Wednesday v Queens Park Rangers – Steven Fletcher
Experienced striker Steven Fletcher has been a valuable source of goals for Sheffield Wednesday since the turn of the year, weighing in with ten in the Championship. Although half of these efforts have fired the Owls into a 1-0 lead, you have to go back to a 4-2 win against Blackburn in March to find the Scottish international’s most recent opener.
Burnley v Liverpool – Mo Salah
As ever, Mo Salah continues to light up the Premier League, helping himself to a brace in Liverpool’s 3-1 success against an in-form Arsenal side at Anfield last weekend. The Egyptian superstar now boasts eight goals in his last nine top-flight appearances, though it is interesting to note that none of these strikes have fired the Merseyside outfit into a 1-0 lead.
Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Over the course of his most recent 12 competitive appearances in the colours of Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has delivered an impressive return of 11 goals. What’s more, the Gabonese international will have fond memories of last season’s top-flight home game against Tottenham, as he struck twice in an important 4-2 success for the Gunners.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips and Predictions - Friday 23rd to Monday 26th August
Fulham v Nottingham Forest – Aleksandar Mitrovic
Aleksandar Mitrovic appears to have really hit the ground running in the Championship, with the Serbian international finding the back of the net in each of his last three appearances for Fulham. The powerful former Newcastle centre-forward now boasts 14 league goals since the beginning of last season, including eight in a row in the second half of games.
Manchester United v Crystal Palace – Anthony Martial
Since the start of last season, Anthony Martial has helped himself to 12 goals in the Premier League, though just one of these efforts has fired Manchester United into a 1-0 lead. The lightning-fast French forward clearly has the trust of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and he has rewarded his manager’s faith by finding the net against both Chelsea and Wolves this term.
Charlton Athletic v Brentford – Lyle Taylor
Much like Charlton, Lyle Taylor has made an absolute dream start to life in the Championship, finding the back of the net in all four of his appearances in the competition. Including the playoffs, the 29-year-old helped himself to 22 goals in 44 games at League One level for the Addicks, so the continuation of that sort of form should not come as a surprise.
Bournemouth v Manchester City – Raheem Sterling
When it comes to hitting the back of the net, Raheem Sterling has made a lightning-fast start to the current campaign, following up his goal in the Community Shield with four more in two Premier League games. It is also worth noting that the England international has struck eight times in seven appearances against Bournemouth since signing for Manchester City.
What is an Anytime Goalscorer Bet?
This market works by betting on a player to score anytime during the game.
In most cases, the bet is only valid during the first 90 minutes. If your player scores outside this period, the bet won’t go through. The bet doesn’t tend to include extra time or penalty takers.
Understanding Anytime Goalscorer Odds
When it comes to anytime scorer odds, they generally tend to be lower due to market’s predictability. The chances of a goal being scored in the match is high, therefore rewards can be less. First goalscorer odds tend to be more favourable.
Also, bear in mind that strikers tend to have the shortest odds. This is unsurprising, as the chances of them scoring are high. Similar to draw no bet or win to nil, this market can be less fruitful than others.
However, this isn’t to say there are no rewards in this market. In fact, far from it. Betting on a midfielder to score, for example, can be highly profitable. Odds vary game to game.
How Can You Make Sure Your Bet Wins?
With the chances of winning big lower than in other markets, football betting tips can put you on the right track.
Look for Prolific Players
When it comes to general football tips regarding this market, it’s best to look for consistent goal scorers. Players who have consistently scored goals in recent matches tend to be great picks for this type of bet.
The likelihood of them scoring again is high due to both their skill level and their heightened confidence. Since the bet isn’t restricted in terms of timing (such as first and last goalscorer bets) this is a good tactic to pursue.
However, of course, profits will be less.
Look for Team Behaviours
Does your chosen team perform well in corners? This can be a good way to give your bet the best chance of being successful.
Sometimes, the obvious places shouldn’t be overlooked!
Look for Penalty Takers
Which players have had the most successful penalties?
While there are never any guarantees, betting on one of them can mean higher chances of success.
Look at Match History
Does your team have a high success rate against another? Looking for patterns is a football tip that can result in winnings. In fact, it's one of the most important when it comes to how to win football bets!
