Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Friday 18th to Monday 21st September

Nottingham Forest v Cardiff City – Home Win or Away Win

Recent meetings between these sides have a history of producing positive results, with Cardiff coming out on top 11 times to Nottingham Forest’s four across their last 16 clashes. Including the playoffs, the Welsh outfit are without a draw in nine second-tier trips, winning on seven occasions, whilst their hosts have shared the points just three times in 14 at home.

Middlesbrough v Bournemouth – Home Win or Away Win

Bournemouth have finished on level terms just twice in their previous 20 league matches, against Chelsea and Tottenham, and none of their previous 14 games on the road have ended all-square. As for Middlesbrough, they have been the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde team in the Championship recently, securing five wins and suffering six losses in their last 11 contests.

Randers v Aarhus – Home Win or Away Win

Over the course of their last 11 matches in the Danish Superliga, Randers have secured five victories and suffered five defeats, so consistency has proven pretty hard to achieve. Draws have also been a pretty alien concept as far as Aarhus are concerned, with just two in 14 top-flight fixtures recently, so it would come as a surprise were there not to be a winner here.

Nantes v Saint-Etienne – Home Win or Away Win

Prior to visiting Marseille on Thursday evening, Saint-Etienne had won four and lost ten of their previous 14 away games in Ligue 1, so finishing on level terms had been very much off the agenda. As for Nantes, just one of their most recent 14 home matches in Ligue 1 has ended all-square, with the Canaries winning seven and losing six of the remaining fixtures.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Friday 11th to Monday 14th September

Crystal Palace v Southampton – Home Win or Away Win

This fixture has a history of serving up positive results, as the last nine league meetings between the sides at Selhurst Park have resulted in three home successes and six wins for the visitors. What’s more, Crystal Palace have finished on level terms only once in eight home games of late, whilst Southampton have drawn just twice in 12 trips in the Premier League.

Scunthorpe United v Newport County – Home Win or Away Win

Draws have been few and far between in recent Scunthorpe matches, with just one in eight League Two games, and the concept of finishing on level terms has been even more alien to their visitors. In fact, the previous 13 Newport fixtures in the fourth tier have resulted in five victories, seven defeats and just a single draw, so one team should claim the three points.

Valenciennes v Châteauroux – Home Win or Away Win

Châteauroux have blown incredibly hot and cold in Ligue 2 recently, winning five and losing four of their previous nine matches, so it would be fair to say that consistency has eluded them. It has been a similar story as far as Valenciennes are concerned, with three victories and three defeats from their last seven games, so a draw seems unlikely between this pair.

Nîmes v Rennes – Home Win or Away Win

Finishing on level terms is not a concept with which Nîmes have become familiar in recent times, as their previous 16 matches at the top table of French football have resulted in six wins and ten losses. Rennes have drawn just three times in 20 games themselves at this level recently, winning 13 times, so all the signs point towards a positive result in this contest.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Thursday 3rd to Wednesday 9th September

Grimsby Town v Morecambe – Home Win or Away Win

Grimsby have blown pretty hot and cold on their own patch recently, securing four victories and suffering four defeats over the course of their previous ten matches. Morecambe, on the other hand, have rarely heated up, winning three, drawing two and losing 15 of their last 20 away games, so it would be fair to say that finishing on level terms has been alien to both.

Swindon Town v Charlton Athletic – Home Win or Away Win

Draws have been few and far between in recent Swindon home games, with just two in their last 20, and the Robins have come out on top on 13 occasions during this period. Although Charlton have been slightly more prone to finishing on level terms on the road, a record of only three draws from 16 trips is hardly enough to suggest that this tie will go to penalties.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Thursday 27th August to Wednesday 2nd September

Lechia Gdańsk v Raków Częstochowa – Home Win or Away Win

Raków Częstochowa have made 18 trips since securing their place in the Ekstraklasa, winning five, losing 11 and drawing only two of these games, and they enjoyed a 3-0 success in this fixture last term. As for Lechia Gdańsk, they have blown incredibly hot and cold on their own patch, winning seven, losing six and drawing just two of their last 15 matches.

Chateauroux v Auxerre – Home Win or Away Win

Over the course of their last 17 second-tier matches, Chateauroux have finished on level terms just a couple of times, winning nine and losing six of the other 15 encounters. Given that Auxerre have won two and lost six of their previous eight games on the road at this level, all the signs point towards there being a positive result when the two sides go head-to-head.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Thursday 20th August to Wednesday 26th August

Lille v Rennes – Home Win or Away Win

Lille have not finished on level terms in any of their most recent 15 matches at the top table of French football, winning ten and losing five of these encounters. Given that only two of the last 20 Rennes games at this level have ended all-square, there is little reason to see this pattern changing when the teams that finished fourth and third last season go head-to-head.

Lorient v Strasbourg – Home Win or Away Win

If the evidence of last season is anything to go by, then newly-promoted Lorient simply do not do draws, with their most recent 17 league games yielding ten victories and seven defeats. For their part, Strasbourg have finished on level terms just twice in 20 top-flight fixtures themselves of late, so it would come as a surprise were this contest not to deliver a winner.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Thursday 13th August to Wednesday 19th August

Haugesund v Strømsgodset – Home Win or Away Win

Haugesund have blown extremely hot and cold over the course of their last nine home games at the top table of Norwegian football, winning five times and losing on three occasions, with their only draw coming against Kristiansund. It has been a similar story as far as Strømsgodset are concerned on the road of late, with just one draw in eight league matches.

Sevilla v Manchester United – Sevilla to win or Manchester United to win

Finishing on level terms has been a pretty rare experience for Sevilla in the Europa League over the course of the last couple of campaigns, with just three of their 26 matches ending all-square. What’s more, only three of the most recent 21 games involving Manchester United in European competition have been drawn, so a winner should emerge during the 90 minutes.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Thursday 6th August to Wednesday 12th August

Waterford v Cork City – Home Win or Away Win

Draws have not been on the agenda for Waterford in the League of Ireland Premier Division of late, with their previous 12 matches resulting in eight victories and four defeats. It has been a similar story as far as Cork are concerned recently, albeit that they have not been as successful, with a record of three wins and eight losses from their last 11 games at this level.

Ural v Dynamo Moscow – Home Win or Away Win

Finishing on level terms has been somewhat of an alien concept to Ural in recent top-flight home games, with their last 12 fixtures yielding three wins, eight losses and just a single draw. It has been a similar story as far as Dynamo Moscow are concerned on the road at this level of late, with six victories, four defeats and just one draw from their previous 11 trips.

Double Chance Tips and Predictions – Friday 31st July to Monday 3rd August

Luzern v Zurich – Home Win or Away Win

Luzern have blown incredibly hot and cold over the course of their last 14 home games in the Swiss Super League, winning seven and losing five, so they have only finished on level terms on a couple of occasions. For their part, Zurich have drawn just once in 11 top-flight fixtures themselves of late, registering three victories and suffering seven defeats along the way.

Arsenal v Chelsea – Arsenal Win or Chelsea Win

Starting with a 2-0 success against Liverpool in the FA Cup, Chelsea have now played 13 times without being involved in a draw, winning ten and losing three of these encounters. Arsenal, it seems, are even more unaccustomed to finishing on level terms, as the Gunners’ previous 18 competitive fixtures have produced 12 wins, five losses and just a single draw.

Ross County v Motherwell – Home Win or Away Win

Draws between these two teams have been few and far between in recent seasons, with just two of the previous 14 meetings resulting in the points being shared. What’s more, Ross County have finished on level terms only three times in 15 home fixtures recently, whilst just two of the last 14 Motherwell away matches in the top-flight have ended all-square.

Basel v Eintracht Frankfurt – Home Win or Away Win

Basel have featured 13 times on the European stage so far this season, with the experienced campaigners winning eight, losing four and drawing only one of these encounters. As for Eintracht Frankfurt, semi-finalists in this competition last season, they have won nine, lost five and drawn just one of their 15 Europa League fixtures this term, so expect a winner.

What Does Double Chance Mean?

First things first, what is double chance betting?

This double chance market allows you to cover two of the three possible win-draw outcomes in a match with one bet.

  • Home & Draw (1X): Your bet wins if the home team wins or the game ends in a draw
  • Away & Draw (12): Your bet wins if the away team wins or the game ends in a draw
  • Home & Away (2X): Your bet wins if either the home or away team wins

Helping You Placing a Bet of This Nature

The KickOff algorithm statistically calculates the likelihood of these three outcomes occurring (home win or draw, away win or draw, home win or away win) by using the comparative form for each team.

We also provide you with statistical form data to support each prediction.

So, if you’re looking to make a double chance bet you’ve come to the right place. We offer analysis of likely outcomes for all matches in major leagues, including the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and the Champions League.

Example

Let’s put the bet into practice.

For example, Liverpool and Manchester City where the game takes place at Anfield. This makes Liverpool the home team.

  • Home & draw = your bet wins if Liverpool wins or draws
  • Away & draw = your bet wins if Manchester City wins or draws
  • Home & away = your bet wins if Liverpool or Manchester City win

Pros and Cons

There are some clear advantages and disadvantages concerned with this betting market.

Advantages

With this type of bet, you give yourself a higher chance of winning. It’s certainly less risky than others, such as the correct score market.

Due to football’s lack of predictability, this market proves hugely popular with punters.

Disadvantages

Inevitably, this has its consequences; the main one being that odds are shorter. This means that you may not be able to find some of the profits associated with other areas of sports betting.

However, this isn’t a universal rule, many football tipsters have enjoyed big wins here. Some punters believe that the high chance of a win outweighs the shorter odds.

Double Chance Odds Comparison

Whenever you add a prediction to your KickOff bet slip, we automatically compare odds from a variety of leading bookmakers and best betting sites. This helps you find the right option for you.

You can also add a number of selections into your bet slip to create a multiple (or accumulator) bet.

As you make additional selections, the odds change to reflect the folds of your bet. Once your KickOff bet slip is complete you can choose a bookmaker to wager with.

Alternatives

Haven’t found what you’re looking for in this market? There are some alternatives.

Draw No Bet

Draw No Bet is another market that offers you a level of protection against losing. Essentially, if the game ends in draw, punters receive their stake back.

Asian Handicap

Asian handicap betting places the stronger team at a disadvantage at the start of the match, for example half a goal.

This makes the underdog more likely to win, giving your bet more security.

It also makes the game more exciting.

Win Draw Win

Win Draw Win allows you to bet on a team to win a specific match, or you can bet on it to end in a draw.

Profitable Football Betting

Wondering how to win football bets?

The betting strategy you follow can significantly increase your chances of winning.

To give you a chance of success, here are some of the best double chance tips.

Look for the Best Opportunities

Odds will vary depending on bookmaker, match and many other factors.

To find the best price for you, it’s essential you don’t simply go with the first opportunity you come across.

Pay Attention to the Stats

Every prediction we post is supported by statistical infographics. Simply click the chevron on a specific prediction to view the latest double chance statistics for that match.

Look for Offers

Many bookies offer free bets, bonuses and other incentives to new and existing customers, and they’re well worth keeping an eye out for!

We flag up some free bet offers on KickOff, but be sure to check the social media accounts of the bookmakers themselves to make sure you never miss out.

Enhanced odds offers can also help boost your winnings, bumping up the potential return for your original stake.

Build an Accumulator

Double Chance odds are much lower than those found in other markets, which makes accumulators popular, because they allow for more flexibility.

Covering off two possible win-draw outcomes in a game increases the chances of a selection winning.
When you pull a number of predictions together in an accumulator, you can create a coupon that offers strong returns, but is less risky than a traditional win acca.

Getting started couldn’t be easier with our Acca Smacker, the only accumulator, builder, calculator and tracker.

If you’re unsure how to begin, we can help. Find our football accumulator tips here.
