Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Friday 18th to Monday 21st September

PAOK v Atromitos – PAOK to win to nil

Over the course of their last 19 away matches at the top table of Greek football, Atromitos have been beaten on no fewer than 11 occasions, drawing a blank in seven of these reversals. PAOK, meanwhile, have kept five clean sheets on the bounce at this level, and they have triumphed 13 times in their previous 20 home games, including once against these opponents.

Slavia Praha v Teplice – Slavia Praha to win to nil

Not only have defending champions Slavia Praha won 17 of their last 20 home games in the Czech First League, but they have also kept seven clean sheets in a row on their own patch. Teplice, meanwhile, have suffered seven defeats in ten trips at this level of late, and they have failed to trouble the scorers in seven of their most recent ten reversals on the road.

Manchester United v Crystal Palace – Manchester United to win to nil

Recent top-flight away matches have not been kind to Crystal Palace, with the Eagles scoring no goals and conceding 11 on the way to suffering four defeats on the bounce. Manchester United, by way of contrast, have put together a 14-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, and they have also kept a clean sheet in eight of their nine victories during this period.

Ajax v RKC Waalwijk – Ajax to win to nil

Waalwijk clearly do not travel well, suffering ten defeats in their previous 11 Eredivisie trips, and they have failed to trouble the scorers in five of these losses. Ajax, by way of contrast, have recorded 18 wins in 20 top-flight home games of late, including a 3-0 success against these opponents last term, and they have pitched a shutout in seven of their last 11 victories.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Friday 11th to Monday 14th September

Rangers v Dundee United – Rangers to win to nil

Rangers have secured 17 victories over the course of their previous 20 top-flight home games, with Steven Gerrard’s charges keeping a clean sheet in no fewer than 13 of these successes. This does not bode well for newly-promoted Dundee United, particularly as they have failed to find the net four times in six trips of late, suffering two defeats along the way.

Portsmouth v Shrewsbury Town – Portsmouth to win to nil

Shrewsbury have been really struggling on their League One travels of late, suffering four defeats in six matches, and they have failed to find the net in each of their last seven losses on the road. Excluding the playoffs, Portsmouth have pitched a shutout in ten of their most recent 19 home games at this level, winning 12 and drawing seven of these encounters.

Sunderland v Bristol Rovers – Sunderland to win to nil

Having drawn three and lost five of their last eight away matches in League One, Bristol Rovers must be short of confidence on their travels, and they have failed to trouble the scorers five times during this run as well. As for Sunderland, they are unbeaten in ten third-tier fixtures at the Stadium of Light, winning five times and keeping six clean sheets.

Zenit St. Petersburg v Arsenal Tula – Zenit St. Petersburg to win to nil

Zenit St. Petersburg have grown accustomed to winning on their own patch, tasting success in 11 of their previous 14 top-flight fixtures, whilst they have also kept six clean sheets across their last 15 home games. Arsenal Tula, meanwhile, have suffered eight defeats in their most recent 15 trips in the Russian Premier League, failing to find the net in half of these losses.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Thursday 3rd to Wednesday 9th September

Brentford v Wycombe Wanderers – Brentford to win to nil

Wycombe ended the 2019/20 regular season with six away defeats in seven matches in the third tier, failing to trouble the scorers in five of these reversals, so a trip to a team that came within one game of reaching the Premier League is pretty daunting. Speaking of Brentford, they have enjoyed 14 wins in 20 home games of late, pitching eight shutouts along the way.

Örebro v Malmö – Malmö to win to nil

Malmö have been performing well on their top-flight travels of late, securing eight wins in 13 matches, and it is noticeable that the Swedish giants have kept six clean sheets across these victories, including in a 5-0 success at Örebro. For their part, the hosts have been beaten eight times in 20 home games recently, failing to find the net in no fewer than five of these losses.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Thursday 27th August to Wednesday 2nd September

Lyon v Dijon – Lyon to win to nil

Excluding the relegation playoff against Lens, Dijon possess a truly abysmal recent away record at the top table of French football, suffering 14 defeats in 19 trips and failing to find the net in 12 of these reversals. Lyon impressed in the Champions League recently, and it is worth noting that they have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six home wins at this level.

Hamilton Academical v Rangers – Rangers to win to nil

Rangers have not conceded a goal over the course of their last six matches in the Scottish Premier League, winning five and drawing one of these encounters. This does not bode well for a Hamilton side that has suffered nine defeats in 13 home games at this level recently, particularly as they have found the net just once in four matches on their own patch of late.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Thursday 20th August to Wednesday 26th August

Viktoria Plzeň v Opava – Viktoria Plzeň to win to nil

Opava have endured some pretty miserable away form of late, losing 11 times on the way to collecting just five points from 16 winless matches, not to mention the fact that they have failed to find the net 11 times in their last 14 trips as well. Viktoria Plzeň, meanwhile, have enjoyed seven consecutive home wins at this level, keeping five clean sheets along the way.

Dynamo České Budějovice v Slavia Praha – Slavia Praha to win to nil

Defending champions Slavia Praha are currently on a 12-match unbeaten run at the top table of Czech football, winning eight of these games, and they have also pitched eight shutouts along the way. The picture is very different from a Dynamo České Budějovice perspective, however, as they have suffered seven defeats in ten fixtures, drawing a blank six times.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Thursday 13th August to Wednesday 19th August

Finn Harps v Bohemians – Bohemians to win to nil

Finn Harps have been in dreadful form recently, suffering five consecutive defeats in the League of Ireland Premier Division, four of which they have failed to find the net in. It has been a very different story as far as high-flying Bohemians are concerned, with five victories from their previous six matches at this level, and four clean sheets kept along the way.

CSKA Moscow v Tambov – CSKA Moscow to win to nil

CSKA Moscow have been flying in the Russian Premier League recently, winning five of their previous seven matches, not to mention keeping a clean sheet in every single one of these successes. Tambov, by way of contrast, have suffered eight defeats in their last 11 games at this level, failing to trouble the scorers in back-to-back fixtures for good measure.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Thursday 6th August to Wednesday 12th August

Rangers v St. Mirren – Rangers to win to nil

St. Mirren have found the going incredibly tough on their top-flight travels recently, suffering 11 defeats in 15 trips, not to mention the fact that they have failed to find the net in six of these reversals. As for Rangers, they have recorded 16 victories in their previous 20 Scottish Premier League matches at Ibrox, pitching a shutout in no fewer than 12 of these successes.

Manchester United v København – Manchester United to win to nil

Manchester United have eased their way into the last eight of the Europa League, winning seven of their ten matches in the competition, as well as keeping seven clean sheets along the way. Progress has been much more of a struggle for København, however, as the Danish outfit have suffered 1-0 defeats at the hands of Malmö and İstanbul Başakşehir recently.

Win To Nil Tips and Predictions – Friday 31st July to Monday 3rd August

Dundalk v St. Patrick’s Athletic – Dundalk to win to nil

Dundalk have been absolutely flying on their own patch of late, winning 12 consecutive top-flight fixtures on the way to collecting 55 points from a possible 57, and they have also kept a clean sheet in 14 of their 18 successes during this period. As for St. Patrick’s, they have failed to trouble the scorers in each of their last seven away defeats at the top table of Irish football.

Shamrock Rovers v Finn Harps – Shamrock Rovers to win to nil

Finn Harps have been beaten 14 times in their most recent 19 away games at this elite domestic level, and they have failed to find the net in a staggering 12 of these reversals. Having secured maximum points 14 times in 20 attempts on their own patch of late, pitching a shutout in ten of these successes, Shamrock Rovers appear well placed to take advantage.

Celtic v Hamilton Academical – Celtic to win to nil

Somewhat unsurprisingly, Hamilton don’t have a great recent record at Celtic Park, losing on each of their last eight visits and failing to find the net in five of these defeats. What’s more, Celtic have really turned their own ground into a fortress in the Scottish Premier League of late, winning 16 of their previous 17 matches and keeping ten clean sheets along the way.

Malmö v Helsingborgs – Malmö to win to nil

Not only have Malmö secured 26 points from a possible 30 on their own patch recently, but seven of their eight victories during this impressive sequence have also come with the added bonus of a clean sheet. For their part, Helsingborgs have triumphed just once in 15 trips at this level of late, failing to trouble the scorers in six of their eight losses during this period.

What is the Win to Nil Market?

This is a type of football betting that involves placing two bets at once.

The first is a bet that one team will win (also known as a back bet). The second is a bet that the other team will fail to score a goal in a match.

To break it down in simple terms, you bet on:

  • One team definitely scoring
  • One team definitely not scoring

What are the Rules?

In order to be successful, both parts of your stake have to be correct. If both win, the bet pays out.

There are a few different situations where your bet will lose:

  • If the match ends in a draw
  • If the other team wins
  • If both teams score

These bet terms make this betting market an easy one to understand. It’s essentially a variation of correct score.

However, unlike correct score betting, it’s irrelevant how many goals the winning team scores. But, you do bet on the other team scoring 0.

Example

Let’s take an example of a Manchester United vs. Arsenal fixture.

If you bet on Arsenal to win to nil, you back them to win without conceding a goal. This means they can score any amount of goals across 90 minutes. You’re also betting that Manchester United won’t score at all.

If Man U score any goals, your bet is lost. If Arsenal don’t score at all, you’ve also lost.

Say the final score is 2-0 to Arsenal – and you’ve won.

Why Choose This Market?

Win to nil is a straightforward, simple market that’s easy to understand. Particularly if you’re a beginner in football betting, it’s an easy one to get your head around.

Odds vary bookmaker to bookmaker, but it can be profitable. If you’re savvy, you can find some attractive returns for your money. Always check before you place your stake.

This market is good for betting in a match where you think one team will dominate the other.

Tips for Placing a Bet of this Nature

These tips can help point you in the right direction:

  • Pay attention to stats e.g. current form
  • Bet on teams with good defence that the other team is unlikely to get around
  • Consider opposition attack – how likely are they to score? Remember defence is only half the battle – you’re placing two bets
  • Be on the lookout for a favourite
  • Look at your team’s disciplinary record e.g. red and yellow cards
  • Consider the goalkeeper – have they kept a clean sheet?

There’s no formula for how to win football bets every time – but you can give yourself the best possible chance!
