This Week's Top Both Teams To Score Season Stats - Wednesday 1st April
In their 12 Primeira Liga home fixtures this season, Porto have enjoyed eight wins in which they have also kept a clean sheet. Repeating this trick has not proven quite so easy on the road, though the Portuguese giants have still secured five such victories in 12 attempts.
Both teams have found the net in just three of the 12 top-flight home fixtures played by Benfica in 2019/20. In fact, taking into account away games as well, some 16 of the title-chasers’ 24 encounters have seen one of the two goalkeepers emerging with a clean sheet.
Braga have proven pretty exciting to watch recently, with eight of their last ten Primeira Liga fixtures serving up goals at both ends of the pitch. Encouragingly from their perspective, seven of these eight encounters have ended in victory, with the other one being drawn.
When Sporting Lisbon take to the road, they tend to both score and concede during the same 90 minutes, doing so eight times in 12 top-flight trips this term. The balance has been somewhat more even on home soil, however, with 50% of their games following this pattern.
This Week's Top Both Teams To Score Season Stats - Wednesday 25th March
It probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Bayern Munich have found the net in 24 of their 25 Bundesliga matches this season. The defending champions have not exactly been watertight defensively, however, also conceding in 15 of these encounters.
Both teams have found the net in half of the top-flight away games played by Borussia Mönchengladbach this season. It has been a much more lopsided picture on their own patch, mind you, with no clean sheets being kept in a staggering 11 of 13 matches at Borussia-Park.
It has been commonplace to see both teams find the net in recent Hoffenheim home games in the Bundesliga, with seven of their previous eight matches following this pattern. Looking at the bigger picture, 60% of their top-flight fixtures this term have produced goals at both ends.
Whether or not they are playing in front of their own fans seems to have a huge bearing on Augsburg’s participation in Bundesliga fixtures containing goals at both ends. This has been the case in 75% of their home games, but just over 50% of their away matches in 2019/20.
Both Team to Score Tips and Predictions - Friday 13th to Monday 16th March
Zenit St. Petersburg v Ural – BTTS - No
Zenit have not conceded more than a single goal in any of their previous 20 matches at the top table of Russian football, with the defending champions keeping an impressive 12 clean sheets during this sequence, including four in a row of late. Ural, meanwhile, have found it hard to hit the back of the net, drawing a blank in six of their last 11 games at this level.
Morecambe v Plymouth Argyle – BTTS - Yes
One area in which Morecambe have proven incredibly consistent recently is in their involvement in fourth-tier home fixtures in which they both score and concede, with this being the case eight times in nine attempts. Given that five of the previous seven Plymouth away matches at this level have followed the same pattern, something similar is on the cards.
Trabzonspor v İstanbul Başakşehir – BTTS - Yes
Both teams have scored in 15 of the last 18 Trabzonspor home matches at the top table of Turkish football, so the title-chasing outfit have certainly been providing their supporters with plenty of entertainment. The same can also be said of leaders İstanbul Başakşehir, as they have both scored and conceded in nine of their previous 12 games in the Süper Lig.
Mansfield Town v Crewe Alexandra – BTTS - Yes
The net always seems to bulge at both ends when Crewe come calling in League Two, with this being the case in 13 of their previous 14 away games, including in nine on the spin of late. As for Mansfield, they have both scored and conceded during the same 90 minutes in 11 of their most recent 16 matches in the fourth tier of English football, so expect a repeat here.
Both Team to Score Tips and Predictions - Friday 6th to Monday 9th March
Atalanta v Lazio – BTTS - Yes
Over the course of their last 15 Serie A away games, Lazio have both scored and conceded during the same 90 minutes on no fewer than 12 occasions, drawing a blank just once. As for Atalanta, they have failed to find the net in just one of their previous 15 top-flight home fixtures, both scoring and conceding in 11 of the most recent 14 of these encounters.
Nice v AS Monaco – BTTS - Yes
Nice boast an impressive record when it comes to hitting the back of the net in Ligue 1 home games, doing so in 17 consecutive fixtures, though Patrick Vieira’s charges have kept only two clean sheets in 14 attempts this season. What’s more, both teams have scored in eight of the previous ten Monaco matches at this level, so this could prove a tough night for keepers.
Rubin Kazan v Krylia Sovetov Samara – BTTS - No
Over the course of their last 15 home games at the top table of Russian football, Rubin Kazan have been involved in just three encounters in which both teams have found the net, so this is a pretty unusual occurrence. Not only that, but eight of the most recent ten top-flight fixtures involving Krylia Sovetov Samara have also resulted in at least one clean sheet being kept.
RB Salzburg v Sturm Graz – BTTS - Yes
Excitement tends to follow RB Salzburg around, with both teams on target in each of their previous seven top-flight matches, only one of which they have actually won. Sturm Graz are no strangers to finding the back of the net either, doing so in eight consecutive league games, though they have only managed to keep one clean sheet over the course of these fixtures.
Both Team to Score Tips and Predictions - Friday 28th February to Monday 2nd March
Morecambe v Crewe Alexandra – BTTS - Yes
Both teams have scored in 11 of the last 12 Crewe away matches at this level, including in each of the previous seven, so it would be fair to label the promotion-chasers as entertaining to watch. Interestingly, the most recent eight Morecambe home games in League Two have all delivered either two or three goals, with both teams on target in seven of these clashes.
PSV Eindhoven v Feyenoord – BTTS - Yes
Feyenoord have proven incredibly entertaining to watch recently, not only winning seven consecutive Eredivisie matches to charge up the table, but also managing to keep only a single clean sheet along the way. For their part, PSV Eindhoven have both scored and conceded in ten of their last 14 home games at this level, so forwards should be on top.
C.D. Aves v Paços de Ferreira – BTTS - No
When Paços de Ferreira come calling, excitement doesn’t tend to follow, with six of their previous seven away games at the top table of Portuguese football seeing at least one of the two goalkeepers emerge with a clean sheet. What’s more, eight of the last nine Aves home matches at this level, including six in a row recently, have followed the same pattern.
Hannover v Holstein Kiel – BTTS - Yes
The previous six Hannover home games in the second tier of German football have proven pretty entertaining, with a total of 20 goals being netted and no clean sheets being kept by either side. Given that both teams have scored in six of the last seven Holstein Kiel away matches at this level, it would come as a surprise were either keeper to pitch a shutout.
Both Team to Score Tips and Predictions - Friday 21st to Monday 24th February
Southampton v Aston Villa – BTTS - Yes
There tends to be excitement at both ends when Aston Villa take to the field in the Premier League, with Dean Smith’s charges both scoring and conceding in six consecutive matches. Given that this has also been the case in 16 of the most recent 20 Southampton home games at this level, it would come as a surprise were either keeper to emerge with a clean sheet.
Burnley v Bournemouth – BTTS - No
At least one of the two keepers has emerged with a clean sheet from 12 of the most recent 17 Burnley matches on their own patch in the Premier League, so thrills and spills have been few and far between. Given that seven of the previous ten Bournemouth away games at this level have followed the same pattern, any deviation from this script would come as a shock.
Austria Wien v RB Salzburg – BTTS - Yes
RB Salzburg have netted an incredible 68 times in 19 top-flight fixtures so far this season, finding the net in every single game, and both teams have scored in each of their last five matches at this level. Austria Wien have been no slouches when it comes to troubling the scorers either, only failing to do so four times in 19 attempts during the current campaign.
Arsenal v Everton – BTTS - Yes
When Everton come calling in the Premier League, excitement tends to follow, with the Merseyside outfit both scoring and conceding during the same 90 minutes in each of their last nine away games. What’s more, 11 of the previous 15 Arsenal home games at this level have subscribed to the same pattern, meaning that clean sheets could prove hard to come by.
