Top Football Tips and Predictions - Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th March

MK Dons v Yeovil Town – Home Win

Promotion-chasing MK Dons have certainly enjoyed playing at home in recent months, winning ten of their previous 14 League Two matches in front of their own supporters. Relegation-threatened Yeovil, by way of contrast, have suffered six consecutive defeats on their fourth-tier travels to leave themselves firmly in trouble towards the foot of the table.

Port Vale v Forest Green Rovers – Under 2.5 Goals

Supporters of Port Vale have not exactly been treated to a wealth of scintillating football in recent months, watching their team fail to find the net a staggering ten times in 16 League Two matches. Four of the previous six Forest Green away games at this level have served up under 2.5 goals, so don’t expect too many fireworks in this clash.

Macclesfield Town v Stevenage – Under 2.5 Goals

Under 2.5 goals have been the order of the day in 12 of the last 18 Stevenage matches at this level, including in each of the previous four. It has been a similar story as far as Macclesfield are concerned recently, with three of their last five encounters at this level, against Colchester, Crawley and Yeovil, also falling into this low-scoring category.

Swindon Town v Morecambe – Under 2.5 Goals

The County Ground has not exactly been the place to watch exciting football in recent times, with 11 of the Robins’ previous 17 home matches in League Two serving up no more than a couple of goals. Morecambe fans who travel the country supporting their club certainly know what that feels like, as nine of their last 13 fourth-tier trips have yielded under 2.5 goals.

Top Football Tips and Predictions - Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th March

Swansea City v Manchester City – Away Win

Facing whatever team Pep Guardiola puts out will be a daunting task for Swansea, but the fact that Graham Potter’s men head into this contest on the back of five defeats in seven Championship matches is unlikely to do much for their confidence. Manchester City, by way of contrast, have enjoyed ten wins in 11 Premier League games recently.

Luton Town v Gillingham – Home Win

Luton are well on their way to securing promotion to the Championship, and a record of 16 wins and four draws from their previous 20 home matches in the league suggests that the Hatters will take some stopping. For their part, relegation-threatened Gillingham have not won at Kenilworth Road since December 1969.

Sunderland v Walsall – Home Win

Walsall find themselves right in the thick of the relegation battle, not helped by recent away form that has seen them suffer eight defeats in 12 trips, failing to find the net in six of these losses. A visit to the Stadium of Light is hardly ideal for the Saddlers, with Sunderland currently on a 19-match unbeaten run at their home ground in the league.

West Ham United v Huddersfield Town – Home Win

Manuel Pellegrini’s team are now unbeaten in five top-flight matches in front of their own supporters, whilst seven of their previous 12 home contests have yielded maximum points. Huddersfield have been nothing short of woeful on their Premier League travels recently, collecting just a single point from a possible 24 and scoring only twice along the way.

Top Football Tips and Predictions - Friday 8th, Saturday 9th, Sunday 10th March

Sheffield United v Rotherham United – Home Win

Bramall Lane has become somewhat of a fortress for Chris Wilder’s promotion-chasing side, with the Blades enjoying six consecutive victories at this level, in which they have conceded a grand total of just one goal. Having drawn seven and lost ten of their 17 away games in the second tier following promotion, it is hard to see Rotherham avoiding defeat in this one.

West Bromwich Albion v Ipswich Town – Home Win

Ipswich appear doomed to relegation, not helped by 13 defeats in 17 away matches and failure to score on no fewer than 11 occasions on their Championship travels this season. The Baggies may not have been in their best form of the season recently, but four wins from eight second-tier fixtures is still enough to suggest that they will prove too strong for the visitors.

Barnsley v Accrington Stanley – Home Win

Over the course of their previous eight away matches in League One, Accrington Stanley have suffered five defeats and failed to find the net on six occasions. This sort of form would put them in trouble against most opponents, but promotion-chasing Barnsley enter this contest on the back of six wins in seven third-tier home games of late.

Manchester City v Watford – Home Win

You have to go back just over 30 years to find the Hornets’ last success against Manchester City, with the previous seven Premier League meetings between the two clubs all ending in victory for the Citizens. Having won 15 of their most recent 16 top-flight fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola’s side also come into this contest full of confidence.

Top Football Tips and Predictions - Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd March

Bournemouth v Manchester City – Away Win

They may be competing for four trophies, but Pep Guardiola’s men have shown little sign of taking their foot off the gas in the Premier League, having won eight of their last nine games in the competition. Bournemouth, by way of contrast, have suffered 12 defeats in their previous 18 matches at the highest level of English football.

Manchester United v Southampton – Home Win

The case for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be named the next permanent manager of Manchester United grows ever stronger, with the Norwegian now unbeaten in his 11 Premier League games in charge, with nine wins and two draws. For their part, Southampton have been beaten on four of their five trips to ‘Big Six’ opponents this season.

Bury v Macclesfield Town – Home Win

Bury boast a tremendous recent home record in League Two, with the Shakers currently on a 12-match unbeaten run that has been made up of eight wins and four draws. Macclesfield have enjoyed no such fortune on their fourth-tier travels following promotion, with the Silkmen suffering 12 defeats in 17 trips.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Cardiff City – Home Win

Cardiff do not have a great record on the road since gaining promotion to the Premier League, with Neil Warnock’s charges suffering nine defeats in 13 trips at the highest level of English football. Wolves have fared pretty well at Molineux of late, claiming maximum points from half of their previous 12 top-flight fixtures.
