Weekend Football Tips and Predictions - Friday 15th November to Monday 18th November
Manchester City v Chelsea – Both Teams To Score
The six top-flight away matches played by Chelsea since Frank Lampard took charge have produced 30 goals, with both teams on target in each of the most recent five of these contests. Overall, the Blues have managed to find the net in 11 consecutive Premier League matches, whilst Manchester City have only failed to score once in 20 fixtures at this elite level.
St. Johnstone v Aberdeen – Home Win or Away Win
Aberdeen have proven over the course of their last 20 away matches in the Scottish Premier League that they are not overly fond of draws, managing a mere two, with the other 18 encounters yielding 13 victories and five defeats. As for St. Johnstone, their previous 18 home games at this level have resulted in seven wins, nine losses and only two draws.
Lecce v Cagliari – Cagliari to score first
Cagliari boast an unblemished recent record when it comes to opening the scoring on their Serie A travels, with the top-flight’s surprise package doing just that in seven consecutive matches. It has been a different story as far as Lecce are concerned on their own patch this season, with the newly-promoted outfit conceding the first goal four times out of five.
Middlesbrough v Hull City – Under 3.5 Goals
Middlesbrough have been incredibly consistent when it comes to their involvement in Championship home games containing three goals or fewer, with 19 of their last 20 matches following this scoring pattern. All seven Hull away games at this level in 2019/20 have also delivered under 3.5 goals, so something similar should be expected when the two sides meet.
The Best Betting Tips and Predictions - Friday 8th November to Monday 11th November
Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers – Leeds United / Leeds United
Blackburn are the owners of a terrible record when it comes to overturning half-time deficits on their Championship travels, failing to do so on ten of the 11 occasions in which this has been the case in their last 20 trips. For their part, Leeds have enjoyed an interval advantage seven times at home during the same period, converting six of these into maximum points.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace – Under 4.5 Goals
Crystal Palace have featured 11 times in the Premier League so far this season, with every single one of these encounters producing four goals or fewer. The same is true of 11 consecutive Chelsea home matches at the top table of English football, irrespective of who has been in charge, meaning that this London derby should serve up under 4.5 goals.
Orenburg v Ufa – Orenburg to win
Including the playoffs, Ufa have now gone 25 away matches since they last collected all three points, losing six of the last nine of these fixtures, so they would appear to represent ideal opponents for Orenburg. The hosts certainly come into this contest in fine form, having secured five wins in their most recent eight games at this elite level of Russian football.
AZ Alkmaar v Emmen – AZ Alkmaar to win to nil
AZ Alkmaar have enjoyed ten victories in their previous 15 Eredivisie matches, with the former champions keeping a clean sheet in no fewer than eight of these successes. Having lost 11 times in 13 trips at this level of late, it is pretty clear that Emmen do not travel well, whilst it is also worth noting that they have drawn a blank in six of these reversals.
The Best Betting Tips and Predictions - Europa League - Thursday 7th November
Manchester United v Partizan Belgrade – home win
With United sitting top of Group L having used their European campaign so far as somewhat of a playground for the younger members of their squad, it is unlikely for Partizan Belgrade to get anything at Old Trafford having lost at home to a United B team 1-0. Even if United did concede an early lead playing their B team, the effect of United's big hitters being substituted on can change the course of the game against most top-flight teams in Europe.
Astana v AZ Alkmaar – away win
AZ Alkmaar are in outstanding form with 13 goals in their last 3 games, having conceded none. One of these games was against Astana at home where they scored 6 goals having had 36 shots to Astana's 5. Astana sit bottom of Group L with no wins and with only 1 goal to their Europa League campaign so far. It seems unlikely they'll be changing the tide anytime soon.
B.Monchengladbach v Roma – BTTS – Yes
With only 3 points separating top and bottom of Group J after 6 draws in the group, both teams will be desperate for a win. Of Monchengladbach’s last 10 games, both teams have scored in 7. With Roma also struggling not to concede, letting in 12 goals in 11 appearances, leading to 4 wins too many draws. The uncertainty of both teams’ back lines, and the importance of matchday 4 to start separating the group, will likely lead to a very attacking mindset for both. A draw would not be good enough at this stage in the season.
Rangers v Porto – BTTS – Yes
Rangers and Porto currently sit in the middle of Group G. 3 points difference could send them top or bottom on match day 4. So far both teams scored 3 goals and 7 conceded between them. With these teams both fighting in a balanced table, clean sheets are not likely at all. A win here would huge boost to either’s the chances of qualifying, so they’re sure to go for it.
The Best Betting Tips and Predictions - Friday 1st November to Monday 4th November
VfL Bochum v Nurnberg – BTTS - Yes
Bochum are rarely involved in dull encounters, with 16 of their previous 20 second-tier fixtures, including each of the most recent eight, producing goals at both ends of the pitch. This has also been the case in seven of the last nine Nurnberg matches at this level, meaning that defences are likely to find the going very tough when these two sides come together.
West Ham United v Newcastle United – West Ham United to score first
In recent times, this has been a fixture in which Newcastle have often found themselves trailing, with the Magpies falling 1-0 behind in seven of their last nine trips to East London. Throw in the fact that West Ham have opened the scoring 11 times in 14 Premier League matches of late, and it is easy to see why Manuel Pellegrini’s men are likely to do so again.
Gillingham v Rotherham United – Home Win or Away Win
Finishing on level terms is not something that Gillingham have done very often in recent League One home games, with their previous 19 fixtures yielding seven wins, nine losses and just three draws. Rotherham have shared the points only twice in 13 league trips themselves recently, winning five and losing six of the other 11 fixtures, so a positive result looms large.
MK Dons v Tranmere Rovers – Under 3.5 Goals
Including the playoffs, 15 of the last 19 away matches played by Tranmere in the league have served up under 3.5 goals, including five out of seven following promotion. These numbers pale into insignificance when compared to those put up by MK Dons in League One, however, as each of their previous 11 encounters has delivered three goals or fewer.
The Best Betting Tips and Predictions - Friday 25th October to Monday 28th October
Slovacko V Opava – Home Win
Opava are enduring a miserable run at the moment, drawing three and losing eight of their previous 11 top-flight matches, so confidence in the camp must be pretty low. The same cannot be said of Slovacko, however, following back-to-back wins, and the hosts have enjoyed seven successes in their most recent 11 home games in the league as well.
Sparta Rotterdam V Utrecht – BTTS - Yes
Sparta Rotterdam have scored in 15 consecutive Eredivisie home games, conceding at the other end in 12 of these contests, and they were beaten 3-1 on the last occasion that Utrecht came to town. For their part, the visitors have been involved in five consecutive away fixtures in which both teams have found the net, whilst they have scored in 17 in a row overall.
Freiburg V RB Leipzig – Timo Werner
It was a two-goal showing on this ground for VfB Stuttgart that first announced 17-year-old Timo Werner to German audiences, and the talented forward’s career has gone from strength to strength since then. Freiburg must be absolutely sick of coming up against the RB Leipzig man, as he now boasts ten goals in as many appearances against them for his two clubs.
Norwich City V Manchester United – Marcus Rashford To Score First
Both the summer sale of Romelu Lukaku and the decision not to replace him prove just how much faith Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has in Marcus Rashford. The England international has struck 11 times in the Premier League under his current boss, opening the scoring on seven occasions, whilst five of his last six top-flight goals have put Manchester United 1-0 up.
